Jon hinted that it might be so. So beware the HoCs in auction. Sorry, sellers, I got a HoC too. But I chose honesty =D =D and being poor rofl.
Also keep in mind this is Here say... there has been no official word yet... so if you guys wait too long and there is no re-release then the prices just might go up ^_^

What I'll enjoy is the re-release, but them still going at the same price.

Yeah... due to those same item hoarders buying them all up ^_^ or some other random mischance which lands all of them into their laps ^_~

Maybe supporter items can be made available via the blackmarket. Since its a blackmarket then 'illegal' stuff normally made only available to supporters should be found there.
They go for that price because people are stupid enough to pay, and keep getting robbed.
I'll be laughing when I get one for 2 mil or less. Some day.

Actually, what I'll enjoy even more than that is Jon dropping that hint in chat, but then not doing it.

I'll be glad to see Jon making the money from it, but sad to see everyone getting to, as I've put it, "have their cake and eat it too".
We see, we want, we demand, we get. Bunch of children demanding the candy - just like after Jonathan allowed free retraining, and then everyone wanted to know when the next one would be, and then wanted to know how often, and would it be once a month....*sigh*

I'd like to point out this post in the Poll, because GL says what I've tried to communicate SO much more eloquently than I could.
" Rarity isn't the answer...
"This is precisely what Jenn is saying. Now, if they were available for her to purchase, even at outrageous prices, that would be lovely."
Offer more money... Someone will cave to thier greed.
We have to decide what supporter items *really* are in CB2. CB1 they were a funny little something, to help you get into the game.
This changed in CB, with them becoming the 'uber-rare' ZMOG OVERPOWER! item of the game.
If we want that to stay the way, and the power level of said items suggests that, then we need a check on them
Rarity is one, and the current one, but as I said in CB1 about the ELB, rarity should never be the counterbalance to sheer power.
If we make the current supporter items avialable to everyone, we need to add more 'Power Shield' checks to thier power, otherwise CB2 will suffer from everyone having all the same ultra powerful items...

Lol, the attitude that you simply must have an item to run a strat, that it's a necessary thing to have is behind the out of control demand for stuff IMO. It's probably just a coincidence that a lot of the people who tell you that something is vital for a strat might just have a few tucked away for safekeeping.

Partially agreed ;) HoCs are VERY nice, but it's not like a ranged-based strategy is going to fail without one...nor will an anti-mage strategy completely fail without a MgS...they are just great additions to them!
However, the items are vastly powerful and in limited supply, and that's part of it too. But the thing is, for some odd reason, people seem to think there's something terribly wrong with not having any item they want immediately available at ALL times.
Like you said, they can live without the item. It's just very nice to have. It should be something you strive for, in my eyes. That's what these type of items evolve into in every other game I've ever played, at least. But apparently its bad to have goals.

I want it now and if I can't have it now I want it five minutes ago!

you could always limit supporter items like tattoos only 1 per team this would really diverse the playing field i think

Now THAT is a good idea ^.^
:D Thanks OB! ;)
I'd also like to add my second post to this discussion;
"Why can't you Ink a JKF? If Supporter items are to be reintroduced, shouldn't we be able to ink one?"
There's a reason you can't Ink a JKF.

I would like to take the oppurtunity to say I just saw GL's pic, and that has to be one of the most adorable children on the face of this planet. And inside this planet. And on any other planet/asteroid/sun in space. Seriously
I'll laugh when Jon, in response to a post a few weeks from now asking when HoCs will be re-introduced, says that he only hinted that it might be happened to scare current HoC owners that aren't using them into selling them. :)
I was using both of mine.. but considering how much they cost me, I'm not going to take a loss of close to $10m.
