just to clarify a little more. Can only equip 1 tattoo(of the same type) at a time? How about different types, like the augmentation and the ToJ at the same time? likewise the tattoo of ice and fire on the same char?

No, only 1 tatoo per character. The tatoo replaces body armor and cloak for that minion. This is meant to be this way.

I rented a Tattoo of Jigorokano and Tattoo of Flame, the two cannot be equip on the same time. Not even on different minion.
