Using an exploit (in General)

Hi all!

If I was to use a known exploit, when it got corrected would I be reset for cheating?

Specifically, would I be ok to use the Blacksmith to equip a cloak and body armour alongside my ToJ? If/when it gets fixed, would the offending items just be unequipped, or would I be reset?
