Newbie Bonus? (in General)

In Jon's changelog, he stated that there would be a way for newbies to catch up to vets starting today:

• added "newbie bonus" to give new players a chance at catching vets (first day of effect: Jan 9)

Has anyone noticed anything that relates to this?

No, but I've noticed three times today, I've had BA rolled back. Thanks for the free BA, Jon ;) (I just got 50 BA back five minutes ago).

everyone with 9-10ba refresh get like 50-100ba return few times a day sneker

how would that help people like me who can only get one maybe 2 times a day if im lucky anymore. more ba wount help me catch up......

does this.. continue? like, daily?

I think there should be a game called 'Death mage Blender', where BA is refreshed according to Death mage's schedule. I couldn't think of a more level playing field.

Seriously, though, is this confirmed? If it's true, it's probably the best way to allow newbies the chance to catch up without making everyone else's longer term efforts worthless.

I would say this is better then a fight bounus they still have to put the time in and i would imagine it goes away once they hit 8 ba refresh then.

Not trying to give anybody any ideas here, but this would be ideal for storecampers. They'd just need to retire or fire their high PR minion and would get free store visits every now and then.
