Elbows are nerfed in CB2 (in General)

As we all know, Jon has "changed the ranged formula" in CB2 (from CB1). Although this is about as specific as he normally gets, I've compared some upgrade costs.

Think twice about spending that $4,000,000 CB2 on a base elbow. :P

Starting from a x11 weapon, I am comparing the costs to get the bow to x16.

CB1 Elbow: $587,000
CB2 Elbow: $4,774,000
CB2 Compound: $4,814,000

The elbow is a better weapon than a compound since, like melee weapons, we are shown a base multiplier for ranged, and the elbow is higher than the compound. However, if you think buying an elbow will be like having an elbow in CB1- Sorry.

Jon's Elven fetish must have run its (somewhat unhealthy,) course. :P

If anyone can give me more data, that would be great. We can see how hard it will be to get the elbow up to x23-x24 where is started to do massive damage in CB1.

Ranged really has had it's sails well and truly clipped.

to get to x18 from x11 on the ELB is a massive 15,713,950 :o/

Can anyone add what it would be to get from x11 to x16
on the Axbow and Exbows? Would be an interesting comparison also.

I don't think bow x's are quite what they used to be. Unless Cooper found some kind of exploit. :)

Check all of the Elbows and other assorted bows now, they are different:)

comparing both above, Elbow are still cheaper than Compound in terms of BS cost. And the base damage is much more higher, so I don't get why it's claimed to be nerfed

Yeah I think Todd is overreacting. When comparing an exec to a loch (now a bone?) the first upgrade costs weren't that different, it was only when you get into the much higher ares that the exec becomes far inferior, I think it is obvious the same will happen here.

If you really think elbs are nerfed I will gladly buy any excess elbs at fully nerfed market value. :)
