Bug: BA Gain? (in General)

I was just refreshing my home page while I was being attacked by people, and I noticed I only gained 2 BA on the refresh? I'm wondering if there might be some kind of bug here, I went from 48 to 50, and I used no attacks and didn't check the shop.

FAQ -> BA ?

And I'm supposed to see what? Nothing on there mentions getting 1/4 the normal BA gain.

And what you would see is plain and clear:

Q: Is it possible to get less BA than I normally would at refresh time?

A: Yes; when your BA is (re)loaded for various reasons you will get BA proportional to the amount of time passed; it is possible to get fractional amounts of the normal refresh rate this way.

Yes, except the amount of time that passed was a regular BA regen cycle, which should have produced 8. Now by the description in that part of the FAQ, to gain 2 BA it means that for some reason another BA cycle ran just 2 minutes after a previous one. With how long I had been staring at the 'home' page, it definately wasn't that short.

What is the sound of someone trying to cover for not reading the FAQs by trying to obscure the issue?
