Auction items takes up unequipped space??? (in General)

I've been told from people trying to Xfer stuff to one of my characters that they get a message saying that there's no room left. I'm able to transfer items from other characters to that character without any problems. The character has nothing unequipped but does have a bunch of stuff in rentals. Is this the reason why people get that message? If so, is this by intentional design?

If the items are in rentals, yes, it stops someone having 20 unequiped items on one char by putting several in rentals for a day.

I assume you got so many on it by unequipping after you already hit the 10 item limit?

Not really sure why Jon allows that, but rentals/auctions are still counted as unequipped items.

I have that many items unequipped from transferring those items from a different character. I'm not certain the 10 item limit made it over to CB2.

You can go over the 10 item limit by transfering between your owns chars but not through outside transfers...at the home screen, if you click the down arrow and send to a char it will go no matter what, but if you go through manage char, it wont allow it.

I seem to remember there is a, er, feature that when transferring items it only checks whether you have ten at the start of the transfer and, if you don't, continues with the transfer, regardless of how many items you are transferring. So you could have nine items, and then have ten transferred to you, and then transfer those nineteen items to another character that had just nine items, and so on. But I may be wrong.
