I've been doing this for a little while, using the times 100, 24 for X on my compound bow, but all of a sudden I can't find ANY times which allow me to temper the bow for the extra %. What gives????
the 100, 24 is seperate things.....the 100 is for the heating process, then you quench till the RPM% goes up again, then the 24 is for the heat process again, then you temper it till it goes up again.
Suggestion...Don't forge till you know what your doing, and I tell people to wait till at least 75k PR.
Ack, first post correction.....100 heating, then you cast viciousness, then quench till it goes up. Then heat 24, cast temper, quench till it goes up.
I've DONE it before, thank you very much. That is exactly what I did, but when I cast Tempering after quenching AND reheating, the Dwarf in the Forge stopped me and made me start over.
You sure you aren't over quenching or working on the +?...
10 Heats for 10 minutes.
Viciousness
8 quenches.
Two 10 minute heats.
Two 2 minute heats.
Tempering
2 quenches.
Repeat.
Works for me...
Then reword your first post.....Those are the correct times and they worked fine for me.....You sure you did what i said?
Karmic - "but all of a sudden I can't find ANY times which allow me to temper the bow for the extra %"
The 24 IS the time for the Heat *of* the temper, maybe i looked at this wrong but looks totally wrong in my eyes, and you WEREn't doing it right....And one more "?", what extra %?
I'm just trying to figure out its just not your wrong doing....lol.....>.<
Strange... I must've been doing SOMETHING wrong, because now I can do it again. Sorry about that...
