*Tuesday Night Trivia* is back!! (in Contests)

...except it will be run by me, Klinik's cool little bro, instead of Klinik himself (seeing as he's leaving soon.) The rules will be pretty much the same, and here they are:
- Will be run Tuesday nights at 8pm server time, type /join Trivia to get there
- I will ask 10 questions, answers will be in PM only. Chat is for discussion among players, and for posting questions/answers/winners.
- First correct answer gets 2 points, second correct answer gets 1 point
- 60 second time limit...if only one person answers correctly before the 60 seconds are up, he/she gets 3 points. If nobody answers, nobody gets any points (obviously ;-)
- After the 5th question, I will announce the scores up to that point.
- After all 10 questions are done with, the person with the most points wins 75% the total pot, person in 2nd place gets the remaining 25%.
- Tie-breaker will be a CB related question
- Cost is $2k to enter
- Anybody is welcome to just watch, if you don't want to actually play.
- If I feel you are being disruptive or abnoxious, or just a pain in the neck, I will kick you out.

The question topics will be in this order:

2. Geography
3. Science
4. Vocabulary
5. Math
6. Languages
7. Food
8. Literature
9. World Records
10. Current Events

Unfortunately, I will not be able to run this next Tuesday, because I will be away on vacation. But I hope nobody forgets the week after that! (specifically, me :P)

I'm definately in, never done the trivia thing before, but I'm usually pretty good at that kind of thing. You should throw a TV catagory in there =)

hmm...having a TV question crossed my mind, but that was after I posted, and I'm not sure what topic I would replace. Maybe food.
Oh and if anybody is wondering, I already asked Klinik and he gave me permission to do this ;-)

nevermind don't send any money yet...Klinik hasn't deleted his trivia character yet, so any money you send will go to him and not me :P

ok, apparently I won't be able to make a character named "Trivia" so I made one named "Trivia II" ...so send the fees to there. Also, there will be a free trivia tonight at 8pm server time. You don't have to pay anything to play, and there aren't any rewards for the winner. It's just so I can get the hang of things, and so players can get the hang of things, too. Any comments are welcome. I'll open the room around 7:30.

Also, in the real game, if you are late there are no refunds, unless I'm feeling generous :-P.

you should make a new thread "FREE TRIVIA tonight!" Or something like that, might get more attention

Well, tonight was.....pretty good, would have been better if my chat didn't freeze up 10000 times, but other than that it was ok. Thanks to Blarg, -(BountyHunter)-Assassin, [ToD]Evolution, Ex_Dont_Kill, IronWolf, Mythology, [BoV]Lukey, LeoStrife, Eloren, and Glory for participating....less than half stayed for the whole thing though, and I don't blame them :P. Next Trivia night will be Tuesday, April 5th. This one will cost to play, but you may just stop in to watch if you want.

Tonight's trivia was much better than the practice round a few weeks ago. Chat didn't even freeze once! Thanks to Blarg, Majestik_Moose, LeonP, vendo, Fatality, MegamanV, and anybody else who just came to watch. Moose won $6972.

Which reminds me of something important regarding prizes that I forgot about in the original post: Prize will be the total pot MINUS the transfer fee.

Also, I'm changing the starting time from 8:00 to 8:15. I'm having trouble getting on at 8, and 8:15 works out a little better.
