I just fought Cute Animals with the following end result
Minion EXP HP ST DX AC Damage Ammo
Moses 3,870 -2,781 87 84 60 159,966
Cute Animals has 150,558 HP and I normally win without exception.
Why did I lose when I hit him for more hitpoints than he has?
He didn't die!

The numbers you quote don't show that you hit him for more hitpoints than he has.
Some of those 159,966 damage inflicted is against his 2 enchanters. You don't show us for how much you did hit them...

The fight is gone from the browser cache now so cant check.
You are right though, I could have hit in excess of 9000HP on the 2 minions with 20HP, I forgot to wear my Helm of Thinking!

Did you take into account AS?
And you could have hit the main toon for an extra 9k a well, just an over kill.
Next time get the fight log, till then, calm down...its just a game.

He doesn't have ablative shield??
Since his 20HP minions are definitely dead, I couldn't have hit the main minion for more than its hit points and lost.
