In order to keep some division between tattoo, why not separate Minion and non minion tattoos? Each type can be changed into another of it's own type. For example, a ToA could be changed into a ToE, but not a ToF.

What about ToJ's? Would they be exempt? If not then not many people would be changing their tattoos much anymore I think, except maybe those people who can't decide to go mage or tank or both..... =)
I'd like to see the change to a tattoo be a permanent one. Make people commit to a tattoo, which might also increase the various types worth (again).

How about spawning blank tattoos. Now we have the artist do we need to spawn specific types?
Good point. Artisting a base tattoo loses nothing from it's level, it's just a little extra cost on top of buying the thing. Maybe increase base tattoos costs, and have them spawn blank.

Yeah, I really like the "Blank" tattoo spawn idea. Tat's shouldn't spawn, just blank ones (and lesser blanks); that way for them to be useful, it's money sink time. Also, an equipped blank wouldn't give a PR change and blanks wouldn't get the dock for getting changed at the artist; also, blanks could go for sale on the auctions, giving people more strat freedom on their first tattoo.
Maybe pair this up with a "blanking" service in addition to the regular artist? Same cost, just turns the tattoo into a blank for easy auctioning....
I forsee blanks as being more valuable (i.e. higher avg over nw) over the long term as well as creating a huge money pit. Could be good for CB2 economics.
Not that I ever use the tattoo artist.
BTW, Jon, F-O-R-S-E-E is not in the dictionary.
Chernobyl, thats because its spelled "foresee" ;)
