Suggestion for Rentals (in General)

It would be very helpful to be able to rent an item without equipping it. Then, when the rental expires, the item can be auto-equipped back to where it was. This would be similar to giving an item to the Blacksmith who works on it, returns it to you, and then the item gets equipped appropriately. This would allow us to rent out an item during BA replenishing time or while we are away, but then knowing that the item will get re-equipped when it returns so that it's useful to your character. I really don't see a flaw in this logic, since it works with the Blacksmith.

It has to be in the rentals for at least a day so why would you want that? lol

Agreed with smallpau -- it doesn't seem to fit with what the vision of rentals is supposed to be. Items you're renting out, rather than a carnival ride through another fellow's main battle equipment(as much fun as that'd be in your NW). :D

What I would like to see is rentals by the hour, with the renter choosing how many hours to rent for, or by the day yada yada.
