i keep getting this pop up at the bottom of the screen that says
error 00e44225: this service cannot accept control messages at this time : $
lil error boxes and when you right click them to close them the list of options is black instead of colored, it has the X but when you pres it it just bring another one up....
and everytime you type or click with thwe box present it the computer makes the ding noise like youv'e pressed to many keys.. please help!

what OS?
when does it happen? (open a certain program, close a certain program, right after boot, or just seemingly random)
when did it start?
installed/uninstalled anything recently?
and have you played with the settings on any of the services running?

So aside from black error boxes that ding, everything seems to be working OK? How many error boxes have you closed?
the error boxes.. ill get like 2-30 of them in a row.. then my task bar will dissapear and then come back a few seconds later, then no problem till the next time it does it
ill take a screen shot the next time it happens agian

i think we need to see the whole screen - including the taskbar. It could be another program that is running that is causing that...

But BrandonLP is right. Go download and install HijackThis, or maybe AdAware. These should both be free...

okay i did the adwar thing and it came up with me having 137 things.. well they are gone now, hopefully that was the last reboot
