Cash spend: BA or NW ? (in General)

I'm unsure what's the best way to use my fight rewards, perhaps some of the more analytical minds amongst us can help me decide...

Is it more efficient to spend my cash on increasing the NW of my main items ?
By doing this I improve my characters effectiveness as a result of more AC and stronger weapons which lets me fight higher characters and get better rewards.

OR

Is it more efficient to spend my cash buying BA ?
By doing this I improve my characters effectiveness as a result of more experience learned and an increase to my PR. This lets me fight higher characters and get better rewards. It also helps keep my clan in the good bonus range which in turn generates more cash/exp.

The problem I seem to have with buying BA however is that I don't have much cash left over to do anything other than buy ranged ammo. If I keep buying BA I will struggle to improve my NW.

Thoughts...

all depends on your long term goals really, i pumped about 12mill into buying BA for The Steveh, still made about 50-80k a day afterwards (mage team, using all BA possible basically)

Yeah, If I was mage team then I would go that route as well Steve. My trouble comes from having to purchase the ammo for my tank :/

as for me I'm running a single mage and I buy all my BA when I have some cash left I pay my debts and buy tank items for when I switch to tank or higher another minion and switch one of mine into a tank whatever..u know what I mean.

Obviously a mage team can do without NW. Their real wealth is XP. But for a tank team it's split between the two. How effective are your weapons? If you plough your cash into them now then you can leave them for a while before you need to upgrade them again. But you can't leave your minion's stats in the same way. I would say if you're running a tank team it's more effective to operate in a cycle. Spend on your NW first, then build up your XP with BA buying. Then save some more cash upgrade your weapons then BA buying and so on...

You could always put aside some cash for a rainy day/ammo buying....

The only downside to not buying BA is that you don't get as many points for your clan but what's more important to you - your clan or your character?

I think the thing that is the real decider is how big the gap from your average rewards is to how much buying ba costs. When doing the rotation in SoV I and some others actually had a higher average return of $ to BA cost meaning you'd end up with a profit.

Things are obviously different now.. I'd say if your average $ awards are less by anymore than about $50 then you need to close the gap with better equipment.

Myth's right, that's where I am. My rewards stink, I can't fight above my pr at all. I bought ba all the way here, and now that I've stopped, it's hard to even maintain my score. But I enjoy my score falling because it ups my rewards.

I wasn't making a profit at all, maybe 20k a day, buying ba. Now I make about 300k/day. Screw BA.

I never buy BA unless I need to increase my clan points. I've got a tank to fund for my ETM group. Additionally, I forge over the weekends.

I only buy BA on an as needed basis, ammo is expensive enough by itself.
in CB1, it was different, i was making the same amount as what BA cost, So the only loss was the ammo cost and the higher PR.
Here I am barely staring to hit $200 per fight sometimes, and my current cost is about $250, plus ammo, not worth it for me. And I have managed to miss all the crazy rewards for $ the last couple of weeks. And in case you have'nt noticed, to me NW is king.
