History of CB (in General)

i was just interested in the history of CB, like why it was started and when? was this like a college project or was jon just board one day?

In the beginning, The Jon was bored. The Jon created Carnage Blender.

Every 2 months since the beginning, The Jon becomes bored, picks up this snowglobe that is CB, and shakes it up. And there has been much lamenting and wailing and gnashing of teeth.

The Jon looked down upon His creation and saw that it was good.

For a month.

Here's a brief history.

Jon created CB.

Todd joined CB.

Later, someone named Sutekh joined CB.

Todd joined forces with Spid.

Todd/Spid and Sutekh rose to the top and tussled for awhile. There was much rejoicing.

Todd/Spid's strategy of buying quitting peoples stuff and re-selling at a profit allowed him to plow much back into his char.

Sutekh fell behind.

Todd broke CB.

Jon made CB2.

Sutekh got banned? News to me. Might want to check your history, Fuhg. I have never been banned, reset, fined, or anything other than posing my chat op privileges on CB1 essentially for having the world "Pornographers" in my user handle. Let's at least try to get this history right. *smile*

In re-reading my first response I find an unintentional negative undertone regarding Todd/Spid.

They devised method(s) and spent much energy to achieve the ultimate goal of most gamers... Domination. They did this within the rules of the game and are to be congratulated.

From what I hear, the reason CB2 was made was partly because any new player joining looked at the top 10 players and realized there was no hope of catching up.

Of course, CB2 solves that problem, right? Doesn't it? I mean, I had a character for um.. 3 years? Fast forward CB2 3 years and picture a new player joining. Surely that newbie bonus will give this person hope!

N00binator: Wow man, look at that top player, he has 3,000,000 Power Rating.
MentorOne: Don't despair little one, you have a bonus that allows you to catch up.
N00binator: So, when I lose this bonus, I will be close to the top player?
MentorOne:Well, no, but you will be closer than you would have been without it.

Camping broke CB1 as much as Spid (although true scholars will know that spid and camping are intertwined). So let's see...what have we learned from history ? NADA ZILCH ZERO BUPKUS!
