some trends of the last week (in General)

I noticed a couple of things, and I was wondering if anyone could explain why they were happening.

One is the lack of auctions is FS/WTB. They still exist, but it seems like about 1/3 to a half of the sales in there are buy now only. NixonJibfest, Lukey and Myth all come to mind.

Debt threads? Are we so rear retentive now that we have to keep track of our debt: A. in individual deal threads, B. In our own heads, and C. In a seperate post for all our debts? They seem to be all the rage. Even having people confirm in them now, this is the conversation I see in my head:

"Hey, here's this deal, please confirm it in my this deal thread."

"Okay. Confirmed"

"Here's this same deal, please confirm it in my debt thread."

"But I already confirmed it in our deal thread...."

"I know, but I can't keep track of all my debt without another forum post. So, please, reconfirm."

"Um... no, I already confirmed, I dont' feel like doing it again."

"Then the debt doesn't exist."

It makes me giggle, does everyone need 2 posts?

lol =D

well, i don't really see the need for comfirmation on both posts, but one debt post is good if you have a lot of different posts and you want to post the progress in one place.

Lol, I just do it to keep it orgnaised for me and the people who i'm in debt to, it's all pretty much paid off for me now :D

Well, I see several people taking out multiple loans at once. Hence the need to consolidate the information in one post.

Concerning the lack of auctions. Credit is to easy to acquire now.
"I can set my price. someone's bound to want it and they can take out a loan to get it"
:-/

If I ever go through this, when the oppurtunity strikes, I'm going to claim they are actually SEPERATE DEBTS. Then when they refuse to pay the second, I will move to have the reset.

There's a couple of simple suggestions;

1) Turn off public record there is rarely anything worth reading there unless you yourself are making a deal.

2) Turn off FS / WTB unless you're looking to buy something...?

It's not really a problem, I just think it's funny. Like, one person did it, and suddenly EVERYONES doing it. It's all the rage!
