Clan participant error? (in General)

Vaynard [Fees Dirt Cheap] May 4 2005 3:39 PM EDT

I'm not sure if this is an error, or if I'm looking at things wrong, or if it's just one of those things that are fixed cache flush time. But the thing i noticed is that in my fightlist, even after refreshing 3 opponents (xero, The Incredibles, and Redneck) do not have the usual 'C' in front of their names. I go to Edit clan participants, and each of them is listed in a clan, and is not removed when I click 'remove nonclan'.

However, on an inspection of the teams, they are not listed as being in a clan. So in one place they are listed in a clan, and on their page and my fight list they are not. Is this a bug? Anyone else with similar troubles? I don't think it's one of those deals that they all just left and it needs a cache flush- I remember the same problem a few days ago so I just removed them.

I'm just curious and wanting to see why I'm getting this error. Thanks. Anyone else know anything?

I think they are in E-Clans?

Ugh, I can't believe I didn't notice that. You're right Chocolate, and Nixon (who answered via CM). I haven't even checked, but I know you're right. I'll be quiet now. Thanks for pointing this out.

One last little question though. I don't suppose we get extra clan points for defeating an eco clan member then do we? lol

"remove non-clan" will now delete eclan members.

Has that been implemented Jon? I'm still getting the no clan marker thing on my fight list, and they're not getting deleted by "remove non-clan."

I'll investigate further...

Hmm... worked this time. Odd

Reebok May 8 2005 8:06 AM EDT

Wait, nm, no it didn't...

AdminJonathan May 8 2005 9:18 AM EDT

works fine here, you're going to have to be more specific if you think there's a bug

Reebok May 8 2005 9:53 AM EDT

OK, TehCheeze (a member of the fighting clan Elven Blood) has a char Useosut, which as far as I can tell, is not his current active clan char. Yet when I click remove non-clan he stays on the list.

I guess it's not exactly the same problem, as he's not an eco-clan member, but similar. Does this have anything to do with the fact that it's Sunday?

On a completely unrelated note, is it just me or does eco-clan sound like something you'd hear on Captain Planet?

Reebok May 8 2005 11:30 PM EDT

Talked to TehCheeze, he's a bit confused as well.

I think it'd be suitable to rename E-clans, as Guilds. /shrug

AdminJonathan May 9 2005 3:28 PM EDT

worked fine when I logged in as Reebok

been a while since you rebooted? :)

Reebok May 9 2005 3:41 PM EDT

Jon logged in as me? Sweet! Did you harass people and build me a bad rep? That'd be awesome!

I'll try rebooting, but this is really wierding me out.

Rebooted and it worked. I'm pretty PC-Ignorant, why did that help?
