I don't see anything in FORS or a previous thread on this so here goes:
Before all of the latest changes, it was tough remembering the specific effects of some items. Now, with all the changes, it's even tougher. I find myself switching from an auction back to item meta-stats to check on the effects of the item (penalties, bonuses, forgeable, etc...) Back on the aution page (not the page with all auctions, just the page where you would bid) when you are looking at a specific item, it will list the item's name at the top.
Would it be hard to link that name to the same messagebox used in item meta-stats so I wouldn't have to switch back and forth?

Click on the item from the auction link and it will tell you what it its.
e.g.
A Whip [74x40] (+17) (Katana -- name expires in 9 months 22 days) for sale by mrwuss

G Bee, I think he was interested in having a quick way of seeing the stats of EVERY item, not simply of knowing what a named item is.
I personally like his proposal. However, what would you see if you click on a named item?

What he is asking is the the link pull up the same box that clicking on the name in item-meta stats brings up
ie if there were a pair of Displacement Boot in auctions that were named "(Don't Step on my) Blue Suede Shoes" and you went to the bidding page at the top where it says
(Don't Step on my) Blue Suede Shoes [6]+25 (Displacement Boots -- name expires in 4 months 3 days) for sale by Warchild
You could click on (Don't Step on my) Blue Suede Shoes and it would bring up the info box with this info
Base AC 6. Grants Evasion; no UC penalty.
Hope I explained that well enough.
