Anybody get a trojan infecting their PC? (in Off-topic)

Odd question, but I just removed a trojan from my PC that supposedly uses IRC ports. I tracked a h3cked.exe running on my Win2K install (more info at http://nts.jhu.edu/alerts/alert.detail.cfm?aid=307 if interested). Now it's a new work laptop so the techs did stupid configuration things, but I'm surprised to find this. It's not insignificant since they executed a keystroke logger and tried to hack DCOM access to use my PC as a pass through (low speed cable modem, so semi-static IP).

The question - has anyone else had this (or do they have that kind of executable running)? I think I can trace it back to when I first launched chat (crappy default logging), but I'm not sure. Anyway, given chat's use of the IRC port, I thought it was a worthwhile warning. Had to clean my registry, reset some passwords and tighten logon security.

Jon - I'm not blaming you in any way. Just a general question to the CB world.

faqs -> chat

CB does not use IRC ports

No idea what you're talking about, but i was just about to make a post about the annoying "is this you?" messages from half my AIM list. Spreading like wildfire. Yeah, don't download open it. ;)

unless you collect viruses, decompile them, and read them for fun like I do.

Sorry, Jon - thought port 7777 was an IRC port. My mistake.
