GOD OF WAR (in Off-topic)

This is the game by which all other games will now be judged.

I was still scheptical, even after every gaming magazine I'd peeked at had given this game 10 out of 10, 5 stars, 5.0, etc... etc...

From the first moment you get control and get to mercilessly carve baddies into little pieces, till your... well... as far as I've gotten, you'll have to fight just to put down the controler to go use the washroom, and struggle to remember to breathe.

Probably the most aw inspiring facit of this game, is what they dubbed "The minigame." Once you've pounded bosses down to about 1/4 life (and the same for some less eneimies) the O button, which is the grab button, appears above there heads. When you grab them, a series of button presses appears on the screen one at a time (IE: X, then "Triangle" then O and so forth). As you press through these button combinations, Kratos tears the enemy to shreds in short, almost FMV like move sets.

For Example, in the first fight against a boss, a single head from a hydra you: Jump onto it's head and stab through the top, then jump off, run across the room and pull it (Chains are attactched between your swords and your arms) into the wall, run over to the other wall and slam it into that one. It tries to bite you, and you jump over it's head and wickedly bring your blades to bare through the center of it's head, and it runs.

Also, ample non-pg for those of you looking for games aimed at a more mature audiance.

I hope your head doesn't explode like mine did, it's hell to clean that crud off the walls.

Have you beaten it? The game is a ton of fun but the ending is so stupidly hard.

No, I just got to see Aries.

Well I got to an annoyed point that I find in some games where you die 20 times just to win. If it is impossible to beat a game without dieing then it just kills the "realism" for lack of a better turn.

Luckily though, this game doesn't do it. It's hard, but possible if you rock more than me =P

I take it you're talking about...

WARNING, SEMI-SPOILER!

The spinning blade pillar of doom? That thing ruled. I cannot think of a better image of a mean trying to escape Hades than trying endlessly to climb a pillar, only to fall. Over and over and over and over and over. The finally make it to the top, only to find (after easily lopping some heads off) that there's another one to climb.

I assume you are talking about that, because Ares was EASY!

and by "a mean" I of course meant "a man" ...
