How to ship Magic cards (in Off-topic)

I've started selling my Magic the Gathering cards on ebay. Since I've never sold on ebay before, I have a couple of questions:

What's the best way to package them? Bubble mailer? What should I put the card in?

What's the best way to ship them, both domestically and internationally? I'm assuming the USPS is best to ship internationally, but can I get insurance for that? Signed delivery?

Anyone who has experience with this, I'd appreciate the help.

Yes, go to www.usps.com. Get insurance.

Use a manila card envelope for your card. Then seal that and put it inside a cardboard container so it doesn't get bent. (If the card is valuable. If it's not, just stick it in an envelope. :)

BTW, the usps.com comment wasn't meant to be rude. You can actually do a lot with that site.

Where should I get the manila envelope and cardboard box? At a shop that sells Magic cards? Or at the post office?

You may want to pick up some of the hard plastic card covers if the cards are very valuable. I'd imagine any comic shop would have them - that's even better than cardboard, though a touch thicker. A padded mailer along with that would do the trick nicely.

I've sent them successfully via USPS Priority with insurance and delivery confirmation, in a bubble envelope packed _inside_ a USPS box. Bubble envelope for cushion; USPS box to prevent folding.

Be careful about insurance. Read the fine print about what they're actually liable for and how you're supposed to prove to them that you actually put the valuable item in the package. To paraphrase Inigo Montoya, "Insurance... I do not think it means what you think it means".

If the cards are valuable, consider getting registered and trackable mail. Personally, I like FedEx. Put the plastic card holder in a standard envelope and you're good to go.
