Change Request (for the lazy/forgetful) (in General)

[FireBreathing]Chicken May 21 2005 1:12 PM EDT

Could ya make it so we can equip 2 sets of ammo at a time? one for defensive battles, and one for offensive battles?

Special J May 21 2005 1:57 PM EDT

Society already enables people to be lazy with their lives, lets not bring it to CB as well.

BooDiggens May 21 2005 2:24 PM EDT

I had pondered something like this as well the other day. I usually put seekers on when I'm afk. And regular arrows when I fight. This addition would be welcome, but the chances of it actually coming to fruition are slim. And once again mrwuss is first to post with nothing constructive to say.

[FireBreathing]Chicken May 23 2005 12:44 AM EDT

It would be a change that can save a lot of people a lot of time in the long run.

Special J May 23 2005 12:59 AM EDT

No, Boo, you simply do not agree with me, hence your comment.

Everyone has an opinion, and no one's is correct on all terms.

I think it is silly to setup CB to cater to those who are lazy, how can you turn that constructive? Wrap it around a load of sugar coating and other needless additions?

Ya, that's not going to happen, I'm lazy.

BrandonLP May 23 2005 1:08 AM EDT

While usually I don't like mrwuss' attitude, I do have to respect his view on things. I think he's perfectly correct in this respect. CB doesn't need to cater to laziness in any sort of way. What if you become too lazy to fight? Should CB do that for you?

Special J May 23 2005 1:10 AM EDT

This is why the internet is horrible for communication.

No ability to express tone of voice or facial expressions.

BrandonLP May 23 2005 1:13 AM EDT

Are you sure you're not just hateful? =P Kidding.

So that this isn't hijacking: I fully believe that before this feature is implemented, Jon should allow auto-training of exp. And we all know that isn't happening.

maulaxe May 23 2005 1:52 AM EDT

i agree. the point of not auto-training xp is that it would make it possible to advance a character without playing it.
while the ability to designate ammo for defensive battles IMO is not in the same magnitude of affecting the gameplay, it still does to an extent. you can do that if you want to take the few extra clicks. its pretty darn close to being automatic as it is.

[FireBreathing]Chicken May 23 2005 2:13 AM EDT

Catering to lazy people is half of the American industry, if not more. Training and fighting are part of the game. If we removed them, it would take away from the game.

Constantly equipping and unequipping ammo isn't really a part of the game. Its just a hassle, much like what the tournament players did before the favorites list. On the contrary, adding this dual ammo feature could actually add to the game of CB. Far more people will start using defensive arrows. Also, its another item we get to name.

Also realistically speaking, quivers can hold different kinds of arrows.

[FireBreathing]Chicken May 23 2005 2:18 AM EDT

In other words, BrandonLP. This game IS fighting, training, buying new weapons, and forging. Removing any of those would take away the fun.
Constantly equipping and unequipping doesn't add to this game in any way. And so it could be left out.

deifeln May 23 2005 2:25 AM EDT

Chicken,

Can a quiver realistically hold 7,369 arrows?

maulaxe May 23 2005 2:35 AM EDT

if it's a magic quiver : )

Chicken must be one of them people who need help getting dressed. And by 'help' I mean, he offers no input himself :P
