Tuesday Night Trivia (in Contests)

Some of you may remember back in January when Klinik was doing this. Well, now that he left, I'm taking over! I already talked to him about this, and he says its completely ok with him. Those of you who don't, its basically a general knowledge trivia game where you can possible win lots of money! Rules are below.
I don't know what happened, if you guys just lost interest, or if something turned you away (like my unreliability :-P) but this game has run into the ground head first. I still have the Trivia questions from May 3rd waiting to be used. Now that it is the summer, I will be more reliable, less unpredictable events to worry about.

Official Rules:

- Anybody can play, veterans or newbies! This game has nothing to do with you score, PR, net worth, etc. or even whether I know who you are or not.

- Will be run Tuesday nights, starting around 8:00 pm server time, type '/join Trivia' to get there

- I will ask 10 questions, answers will be in PM only. Chat is for discussion among players, and for posting questions/answers/winners.

- First correct answer gets 2 points, second correct answer gets 1 point

- 60 second time limit. If only one person answers correctly before the 60 seconds are up, he/she gets 3 points. If nobody answers, nobody gets any points (obviously ;-)

- After the 5th question, I will announce the scores up to that point.

- After all 10 questions are done with, the person with the most points wins the entire pot (all entry fees) minus any transfer fees.

- Tie-breaker will be a CB related question

- Cost is $1,000 to play, send money to "Trivia II"

- Anybody is welcome to just watch, if you don't want to actually play. You don't have to pay to watch.

- If I feel you are being disruptive or obnoxious, I will kick you out.

- Also, if I leave at any time during Trivia unannounced, it means my chat has frozen :P I'll just be back in a couple minutes. So, if this happens, I need somebody responsible to give me my ops back when I return. Thanks in advance :-)

- If any time I do not start it at 8:00, most likely I will start it a little later. Otherwise I'll just skip it and do it the next day, same time.

I'll do this tonight, as there is a possibility I will be gone tomorrow.

Just to make things interesting, I'll triple the prize for this time ONLY. (don't expect this to become an every week thing :^) although i may do it every once in a while.

As of right now, I know of 4 and 1/2 people who are going to play. If monty can remember, it will be 5 :P. Since I last checked, nobody has paid yet. Just make sure you pay by 8:00 pm today (or whenever Trivia starts).

my god, i completely spaced, i cant believe it, but i had a reason. Power surge + on computer = fried computer, poor computer, but its working (more or less the same)now.

well, today (or yesterday) was your lucky day, because i had to postpone it for a later daite. you haven't missed a thing :^)

YAAAY!!!! LUCKY ME!!! Now i can fix my computer with a clear conscience. Will it be postponed to next Tuesday or sometime this week?

I might do it tonight, if everybody that paid is able to play. 8pm, of course. And i am doubling the total pot, not tripling, because i do not have enough money (i didnt think this many people would play :-)

You have to tell me either
A) you can play tonight at 8
B) you cannot play tonight, and need me to postpone this again
C) you cannot play, and want me to just play without you
D) you're not interested in playing anymore and want your money back

So far, the prize is 48,000 and a LToE (courtesy of lukey). If your name isn't listed above and you want to play, its not too late. Just send the money by 8:00 pm tonight or whenever I finally run Trivia, depending on whether everyone can play or not.

The stupid storm caused me to keep my computer off, sorry i wasn't able to make it, unless it was postponed again, was it?

Unfortunately, no, we played without you :P BUT your money (and everybody else that didn't play) was not included in the prize, and the prize was not doubled. As soon as everybody that paid is able to play at one time, then i will double the prize money. but until then....

Also, on a sidenote, the questions i used last night were postponed 1 month, 6 days, 1 hour, 41 minutes, and 3 seconds. Hopefully i never have to postpone questions that long again :P

the next trivia will be on Tuesday, July 5th. However, I was thinking of making the double prize trivia on a different day, like Monday, or whenever everyone can play. How's that with everyone? :-)
