Ice Familiar vs. Fire Familiar (in General)

I noticed that there are far more high level Fire Familiars than Ice Familiars. At first I thought it was because the Ice Familiars started out as such losers so the Fire Familiars got a head start. But my Ice Familiar just got bumped up to first place in the rankings because the folks ahead of me re-inked theirs.

Are Fire Familiars still superior to Ice Familiars?

For those of you who re-inked theirs, why?

Can someone runs some tests against a comparable character with the opposite familiar and see if they actually do equivalent damage after 6 rounds (at least I THINK it was postulated that the damages even out after 6 rounds).

Well, I think this is it... but, Ice is a CoC and it works in Melee combat..

Fire familiar is a Fireball so its in ranged and you can kill people more easily.

.... ya so... thats my 1 cent.

If you can muster up enough AS and Defense to get the IF to the 6th or so round. It would be far better than a FF (Hits harder, no splash).... unfortunately its almost impossible to get that much defense these days.

Wait until July :)
