New Spells (in General)
I had an idea for a new category of spells:
Environmental Enchantments - These spells are cast on the surrounding environment instead of a team. They affect both sides for the duration of the combat.
Windstorm - All missile weapons suffer a severe penalty to their chance to hit.
Climate control - All climate changing spells (currently FB and CoC) are reduced in effectiveness based on the level of this spell.
Earth Tremors - All melee suffers penalties.
Normalize Environment - Negates Environmental spell.

windstorm and earth tremors = EC
climate control = AMF
and normalize = DM
its not a bad idea but most of it sounds like something that is already there.
make it more specific, say
"sunlight" powers up fire attacks such as fireball and TBF
not just somthing that enchants magic
or maybe "Timeslow" can increase number of rounds base of effectiveness
"winds of change" after 10 rounds, its automatically a draw
"winds of accuracy" everyone gets +X to all weapons ontop of what they had based on spell level
things like that, things that are not similar to other things in the game would be cool.
(on a sidenote, even though Windstorm sounds kinda like an EC, id still train it, it sounds cool :P )

winds of change would be very broken. i'd use it as much as possible before it got nerfed. it would be the ultimate money-maker.

change haste so that it gives xtra chance of attack, instead of extra dex :P

Instead of spells how about those things happening randomly throughout the day, 20-30 mins at a time, sort of like wacky money or EXP time, but not fixed time, random

psycho, i believe that was mentioned earlier before...environment settings...
like some days would be sunny so you would have extra fire damage, some days rainy so more cone of cold damage ect...
but i believe it got shot down, not sure though
I would really like to see something like a Energy Tap Spell.
Kindof like Vampiric Aura, but for magic, except it only gives HP to the caster. So lets say you have a group of 2 minions, one casts DD, one has energy tap, the energy tap minion gets a certain % HPs whenever the DD hits the opponent. I suppose you could have energy tap and the DD on the same minion, but it would require alot of XP just like VA does right now. Only this spell would only affect the caster, not everyone.

duh, protection used to give AC, same thing
The idea was to give spells that targeted certain attacks.
There is no spell that currently affects only Fireball and CoC
There is no spell that targets only missile weapons
There is no spell that targets only melee weapons.
It's wrong to say that these spells exist already, since the protection/dispell spells that do exist are more general in nature.
