I tried rebooting I restarted the browser...I was thinking maybe its not working because of Verifex's greasmonkey? dunno, your thoughts? :/

I had trouble with greasemonkey too. Try getting the latest version, and if that doesn't work, just uninstall it.

Then let's help Verifex correct the errors in his code ;)

I've got GreaseMonkey 0.3.5, Verifex's latest script and Firefox 1.0.4 on Win2K. No back button problems apart from the usual (back doesn't work beyond a train screen unless you choose a page from the drop-down a couple pages before the train screen)

And the latest is at http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org/

In Firefox, you should be able to update automatically: go to Tools>Extensions, select the extension, and click "update".
The code I use to put the fancy collapsible buttons in is very unefficient. I'm looking over some other much more efficient scripts then mine and adapting mine as needed. The only problem is that I need to make it work with both old and new style forum posts :)
