A silly MgS question (in General)

I feel like I should know this but I can't find a solid answer anywhere.

Shields, when used with bows and crossbows, can incur a DX penalty. The penalty varies dependent on the shield and the weapons. However, I can't find a listing for the penalties for Mage Shield. Does MgS incur a DX penalty like other shields, and if so, does anybody know the penalties?

By unequipping and re-equipping my mgs, I can say that there should be no penalty to DX for wearing one, because my DX didn't change.

No, MgS has no DX penalty.

Shade's site has all of the penalty and bonus info listed for the individual items. For all normal shields and for the BoM, Shade notes the DX penalties, but on the mage shield page there are no DX penalties mentioned.

The penalty is determined by the weapon, I remember bartjan telling me, it's like a - 2% DX for bows and shield, - 3% (or was it -4%) for xbows. This is from the top of my head, so I'm not sure if the numbers are exact.

You also have to factor in if you're using a 2H Weapon also, cause that incurs a DX penalty as well.

Yes, as I said, Shade lists all those different penalties for the different shields on his site, except for the MgS, which has no penalties.

My tank uses a MgS, and receives no DX penalties, even when equipped with a 2-handed weapon.

I was guessing that MgS didn't affect DX. Not that I use a weapon with my MgS.
Shade's site didn't explicitly say there were no penalties either, so I wasn't sure. Thanks, KM, for the small experiment, and Maelstrom for the 2H info (which is what I was most interested in).

I did the same sort of research before I started using my morg. I have no more trouble hitting opponents in melee using the 2H weapon than with a 1H weapon, or in ranged with a bow.

Xiaz, the DX penalty for Shield+bow, Shield+xbow and Shield+2handed do depend on the base DX penalty of the shield. I always forget what those factors are, but looking at the wiki, they appear to be 1x for xbow, 2x for bow and 4x for 2-handed melee weapons. As 4x 0% happens to be 0%, the Mage shield has no additional DX penalties when combined with such weapons.

mage shield has no dx penalty, so also no 2 hand + shield dx penalty (old news since it has been mentioned already but still :) )
