i had to reformat my computer (what a hassle).

and for some reason i cannot get this java program installed.

i first went to java.com
next i tried the free download.
when it finally was about to finish download, an error appeared saying i'm missing a file or something and i need to verify it's there. i dunno.

i know you computer wizzards out there can help me out. i'm stuck like chuck.

I've got the same issue, and I AM a computer dork. I can't get Java applets to work in Firefox, for some freaky reason. It's sad, really.

Windoze is for chumps who don't want their computer to work, it seems. :p

I once had problems installing Java, but I think it was because of a previous version of java on my computer. I think Windows comes with a (normally out-of-date) version of Java, so I'd suggest trying to uninstall it from your computer, then re-installing the one you just got from java.com.

well i tried novices.. and since i reformated.. windows was already at the updated version i guess. so now i'm gonna try yours.

I had the same problem, i had to format my HardDrive as well, and tried using the auto Download thing FireFox gives you, and it didnt work for me the same way it didnt for you.

What i did is i went to java.com or whatever and searched for the exact file that FireFox tells you you need to download, and it worked that time.
