Gunz:The Duel (International) (in Off-topic)

I was wondering if anyone played? If you've played Enter The Matrix, it's like that (with the wall climbing and stuff) but it's a lot better. The website is gunzonline.com and if we get enough people we can start a cb2 clan or something. I'll also help anyone out that wants, given they're from here. Start with "Renald x2", as you'll most likely find those useful until lv13, and I guess that's it.

The game is alright, pretty standard shooter game, nice graphics. I found that I was either completely ineffective at using the keyboard commands or I just suck. :P I created a newbie room and fought against so-called newbies and got my butt handed to me each round.

So is there a storyline and quests to follow or is it just a large melee free-for-all?

The game looks exceptional, but if all you can really do is fight against other players, I'll stick with GW.

Quest mode is released in the Korean version, and is still being developed in the International. There's no real story until then.. If you're getting stomped in newbie rooms, I can either help you or at least I'll tell you this. Left hand goes;

Pinky - Shift
Ring - A
Middle - W/S
Index - D/R (reload)
Thumb - Spacebar

Right hand goes on the mouse, left shoots/swings, assuming you have a rolly thing in the middle, that'll change weapons (so will q and e, as well as 1, 2, and 3) and the right click will do the spiffy tricks.

If you want, I can always take you to a free chann and show you the ropes (and then some.. I know a few tricks).

It'll be free forever and you'll be able to buy head armor (hats and stuff) as premium items when the game is released (it's open beta).. just like supporter items here. Find me in NP or AIM: traptandlost for some help, or if you want to try to duel.

I just can't see myself playing it right now without some sort of questing in place. Sounds and looks fun, but if I want multiplayer slaughter, I'll stick with Unreal.

I checked it out right after you told me about it. Im currently lvl 7, and getting creamed in the beginning, but now in normal deathmatch im getting top spot with 35+ kills and less than 10 deaths, average.

it reminds me of that old mod for half life Opera, man i remember playing that a few years ago, that was sweat.

this doesn't look as sweet but I'll check it out in a few.

Try server 4.. Most of them are crashing with the new update.. having a lot of problems. 3 seems to be the worst, 4 seems to be the best

Well my problem seems to be that i cant get the update thing.

You can manually update from the website, and I'd also like to start a CB2 clan for Gunz: The Duel, so if you're interested, and play both, please CM your email, or aim name, and I'll contact you once we have 5+ total people interested (which is needed to start a clan) and I'll start it up.

Well i'll join if i can fix everything.. It says that i should find port 21 on my computer and find out if thats open.. Because its saying that i can't play because i have a firewall or my port21 is not open.. BTW i dont have a Firewall .. So im figuring that its the port.. Well help if you guys can.

As far as outkast's problem, check Gunz's forum in tech issues, and for kilo, I have yet to receive any contact info.

so as soon as outkast gets the game to work, we have our 5 and we can start our clan. There's also the issue of a 10 letter max. so any clan name suggestions would be great.. Carnage Bl doesn't exactly work and CB2 is "too short" ... I haven't played around enough to figure the minimum, but I'm guessing it's 4.

I received contact information from Kilobot571 and our default server will be 3. Everytime you log on, log on to server 3, and if it says too many users or something, hold the enter key (or get something that will hold it for you) and wait until you get in.

RareSumo, usually on S3.. the clan will be called CB2-Gunz I guess.

Update: Kilo's char name is gemflower, me and BMWheatley use the same here and there, I made a forum at http://cb4life.6.forumer.com/ just now, and I'm lazy so it'll take forever for me to fix it up, but it's a start, we play on server 3.. and .. that's about it.

Due to a bug in S3, the new official server is S2. The forum still remains.

I ran into adrian, but he wouldn't respond. He was in the expert channel with 2 really hardcore laggers. No clue what that was all about. As far as kilo, are you sure you are playing s2? I have played multiple games with BMWheatley and we have already formed the clan. I have to get off the computer, but I will continue to look for kilo and roughneck, even though I /w gemflower every time I get on.

im using a vpn client to connect to cable internet..there is no section on that there..any1 can help me?
