Create a CB2 Efficiency Calculator! (in General)

Now I'll tell you straight up I'm not a coder, I'm more of a visionary. But I have this great idea for a CB2 calculator.

The idea of a calculator comes straight from mists of a game most of you have probably tried at some point on the net, called Utopia. On there they have a calculator called Utopian Angel that would predict your battle outcome if you put in all the needed information.

Personally I've become familiar with many types of games that run calculators and even CB has one that will tell you where to spend your money on armor and weapons to make the most of them.

This would be a combination of the two. A calculator that would show how efficient your strategy has become, among many other things!

Here are just a few Requirements I think the new calculator should meet, but this isn't limited by me, I think that if we are going to have a calculator everyone can use and enjoy it should come from the CB community as a whole. I know there's an up and coming coder out there that would love the chance to garner our support and make it a reality.

The First and Most Important requirement is the calculator run while you play, A 3rd party program that runs in your tray that you would download off a site. One you can update if Jonathan changes the game up, and even have a fan base that we can all post strategy on.

A couple of other things this calculator must show but are not limited too.
How much CB2 cash you are making per BA spent.
How much MPR you are making per BA spent. This may be a small number so you could say per 1k BA spent to make it reasonable.
How much CB2 cash you would lose or gain by adding more PR to your Character based on past efficiency.

Just a few fresh Ideas on the Calculator maybe others can add some other features I leave the thread open to suggestions.

I think that's a great idea, and when everyone ends up with the same "most efficient" strat I'll make a strat aimed at beating them all. Good Luck. :)

I think efficiency can mean many different things to different people on this game. Some are after the CB cash while others are trying for the top of ladder. I mean still only look at my PR rating in CB1 to judge how well I'm doing there.

That's why I don't have all the answers on what the calc should include. I think that things are alot more complex in CB2 than CB1 and we ideas should be thrown around on what's feasible.

You could do some calculations on excel, such as cb2:ba, or mpr:ba. I keep a record of the amount of money I make each day, and yeah.

That will be hard to make, and what advantage there will be for the players that create it considering that will take a very long time. This is not just some info input also it will need update almost every month.

I forget to mention random dmg output and such

I don't know if you could get a premium advantage from it, I think that's why it's a good idea, it's not something for the elite, just basic information for everyone. I know about the damage factor, that why this would be more of a Damage Over Time Calculator, it would serve its purpose more as a guide than a bible.

And it's possible that the idea won't work on economic feasiblity but I notice alot of coders around and I know they do stuff like this to learn more, that's the real reason I throw the idea out in the open. It's true I can't do it myself, but a novelity I'd like to see around in the future.

Sure, just provide detail about how to calculate the numbers and any reasonably competent coder could whip something up.

Ellis already programmed something that kept track of his Cash/Exp per BA for each person he fought for CB1, so that part is feasible.

The fight predictor seems wishful thinking to me.

The problem with this approach is that you don't know the stats of your opponents beforehand (with the exception of hitpoints). Stat-adjusting armor and tattoos mean you can only have rough ideas. You can make some clever extrapolations (esp. using the top 50 in each category lists), but you can't be definitive in most cases.

Also, we don't know all the formulas Jon uses, so a calculator becomes a guess + a guess * a whimsy.
