Requesting clarification on FS/WTB policy... (in Public Record)

To further prevent abuse you will be fined 25k (can be put onto a sliding scale based on your account age) for bumping your own post with in a twleve hour period. You are given a time period of five minutes to make detail changes to your FS/WTB post.

First of all, twelve is misspelled

Can an admin clarify "can be put onto a sliding scale based on your account age"? IMO, policies shouldn't be so ambiguous and should be more defined.

Also, should sub and full admins get fined more for bumping? Of all people, they should know not to do it!

;)

Until this can be further explained and better worded it was removed.

I don't see the need of taking the perfectly simple and straightforward rule
"'bumping' posts to keep them at the top is inappropriate. Such replies will be deleted."

and trying to make it more specific

"If you bump your post within X minutes of your previous post in the FS forum we will fine you 25k but the scale is sliding based on blah blah"

Why bother? Just start enforcing the rule that's already there. Jon tends to go for a "minimum warning" approach to rules so the door's still open for fines and other punitive measures as appropriate.
