Cb2 or Cb1 VOTE Now! (in Off-topic)

Untouchable September 9 2005 12:21 AM EDT

i just wanna see what Carnage is better! :]

i vote cb2 -.-

maulaxe September 9 2005 12:40 AM EDT

Just when I was thinking of creating an account on CB1, it got closed to new accounts... I missed it by a week or two (thats how long it might have taken me to cave in...)

therefore, i vote CB2 by default, having never played CB1.

! Love Barney September 9 2005 12:48 AM EDT

i never played cb1. . .but i hear thats better.

LumpBot September 9 2005 12:50 AM EDT

I prefer Cb1, but Cb2 is an amazing game as well.

QBOddBird September 9 2005 1:13 AM EDT

I like CB2 better.

I'm further on this one than I ever got on CB1, but that's 'cuz I didn't understand a thing on it. This time I started with a basic understanding, and that meant the world.

Plus tattoos, which are, as some would say, "R0ckz0rz!!1!1oneone! 7074l pwn4g3!"

Surprising, I actually did that perfectly. Score a point for me being leet.

xDanELx September 9 2005 1:13 AM EDT

CB1 is stable (no more changes will be made to it, so yes, camping is still alive and wel - sort of =P ). CB2 is very dynamic, new strategies and things always going on. I would have to say that I do like CB2 due to lots of different changes, but then again, CB1 is a classic. =)

I vote CB2 only because it is worth more. ^_^

RIPsalt3d September 9 2005 1:29 AM EDT

I vote CB1 because the numbers are bigger:

Net Worth: $351,509,854

And OddBird, you lose one point for failing to use x in place of cks, but I'm feeling generous, and you did at least change it to ckz, so let's make it half a point.

You are so 668.5! :)

sssimmo September 9 2005 3:36 AM EDT

CB2 is better than CB1
and
sssimmo is better than Salt3d.

Proof is in the pudding people ;P

AdminG Beee September 9 2005 4:14 AM EDT

CB2 or CB1, let me see...

Colour TV or Black & White ?
New Car or Old Car ?
State of the Art PC or ZX81 ?
Apples or Pears ?

CB1 has a certain charm, but lets face it. It's so last year...

Grim Reaper September 9 2005 4:22 AM EDT

cb2

Undertow September 9 2005 4:22 AM EDT

CB2.

It's a patched version of CB1, with added content!

RAMPAGE September 9 2005 5:01 AM EDT

Call be old school but I like CB1 more.

LumpBot September 9 2005 10:21 AM EDT

I'm going to argue with G Beee here just to be a trouble maker.
New Car or Old Car? I can tell you I'd much rather have a 65 Shelby Cobra over a 2005 Mustang any day =D

Adrian Exodus September 9 2005 10:25 AM EDT

cb1 and it will stay cb1 even after i complete my goal of owning one of every named item, atleast there they stay named :P

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] September 9 2005 11:32 AM EDT

CB1, a Dictatorship whose ruler got bored with it and left....
Happy Peasants!

QBOddBird September 9 2005 11:46 AM EDT

That is one thing I kinda dislike about CB2 - items don't stay named??? Granted, they stay named for a *long* time. Because of that, I don't wanna complain or anything. I just don't like the idea of one day a named item....becoming unnamed...giving an item a name is like naming your baby....and then one day, it DISOWNS you! (12 months after you name it, no less!)

{CB1}Carp King September 9 2005 12:25 PM EDT

Viva La CB1!!!!

I would have to agree with Spaceman, I would also love to have a 65 Shelby Cobra over a 2005 Mustang any day! Even though I would not turn down a 05 Mustang if it was given to me :D

Maelstrom September 9 2005 12:33 PM EDT

I can't believe a vote is necessary - there's simply no contest here. CB1 died back in January, and has been boring since then.

CB2 wins.

sssimmo September 9 2005 12:55 PM EDT

Maelstrom is right. And for once there is no joke! He's serious, don't argue. Else fear the consequences.

I warned you.

IndependenZ September 9 2005 1:02 PM EDT

CB2 ... and I agree with Maelstrom as well.

Special J September 9 2005 1:11 PM EDT

CB1 is for those afraid of change ;)

LumpBot September 9 2005 1:17 PM EDT

I'd also like to note, that my best friend's father owns a 65' Shelby Cobra ;)

AngryZac September 9 2005 1:17 PM EDT

CB1 was great...until X25 ELBs came.

Admin{CB1}Slayer333 [SHIELD] September 9 2005 2:38 PM EDT

Cb1.

Adrian Exodus September 9 2005 2:41 PM EDT

cb1 is still great even with the x28 elbow that heals your opponent

AdminLamuness September 9 2005 2:46 PM EDT

Yes. There is no contest. CB1 is definitely the better of the two. Think of it this way. CB2 is exactly the same as CB1. Minus some features (permanent item naming, tournaments, etc. etc.) plus some new things (unnecessary tattoos, weird power shields, etc. etc.). However, a copy of the original is never good as the original.

p.s. For those of you who haven't even experienced CB1, why are you even voting?

{CB3}-HR22 September 9 2005 3:41 PM EDT

Your name says it all Lame.

CB2 and CB1 are not alike at all.

CB2 takes my vote by a huge margin.

QBOddBird September 9 2005 3:45 PM EDT

Did I just see the word "unnecessary" and "tattoo" in the same sentence? Take note, it may never happen again! =)

deathwake September 9 2005 3:49 PM EDT

I prefer CB,1 being a casual player, you can still feel like you are going somewhere only logging on 2 or 3 times a day and not buying BA.

Undertow September 9 2005 3:50 PM EDT

This isn't a "copy." It's an "update."

Adrian Exodus September 9 2005 4:04 PM EDT

I don't know if i would call it a update i think i would call it a sequel.
you know like, Highlander 2, Grease 2, Jurassic Park: The Lost World, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, need i go on?

[EG] Almuric September 9 2005 4:18 PM EDT

By lamuness' reasoning, a new model car is never as good as the old model. If that were true, wouldn't we all be driving really old cars?

"New Ford Mustang is exactly the same as a Model 'T'. Minus some features (hand crank, etc.) plus some new things (unnecessary seat belts, weird power steering, etc). However, a copy of the original is never good as the original."

Would you rather have a 1978 Mustang or a 2006? Would you rather be running Windows 3.1 or Windows XP? Kermit or Gigabit Ethernet? Old corded drill or new cordless drill? Axe or chainsaw?

CB1 is not being updated anymore. That's part of what I like about CB2 - it's constantly evolving. CB1 is like an old, dusty terrarium in a dentist's office. You can poke it every once in a while to see if there's any activity, but nothing will ever change in there. A closed environment. Stagnant.

The only thing I really miss about CB1 is tournaments. I think we should have a discussion about why they're supposedly not viable over here and what needs to happen to make them viable. Other than that, I'm over it.

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] September 9 2005 4:21 PM EDT

Have you seen how lame tourneys have gotten on cb1?

Half the time they are won because someone friend untrains HP, or worse.

LumpBot September 9 2005 4:23 PM EDT

So now Almuric, you are taking the exact opposite claiming that the older models will never be as good as the new ones? Well, we can sit here for days naming original games that blows their sequals out of the water, but it wouldn't get us anywhere. both games are great, and you cannot say someone's opinion is wrong. All video games that aren't online are stagnant or closed. But things like Megaman Anniversary came out and other games of the like.

QBJohn Birk [Black Cheetah Bazaar] September 9 2005 6:12 PM EDT

There was no c) option, so to me its now a tie.

CB1 is mostly figthing, with no changes and some small amount of camping.

CB2 is all fighting, with lots of changes (of which I have spoken out against 90% of them I would guess) and no camping.

In the end, I think I would choose c). I'm not going to sit here and list the c) choices, for I do not wish there to be even a hint of possible wrong doing in this post regarding the listing of other games. I will say I have not and will not be quitting CB, at LEAST until the end of the change month. Heck, even past that, I mean it's not hard to log on click down arrow enter and log off. Its pretty much what I was already doing on CB1 so it's not a big switch for me or anything.

In the end, I always thought that one of the big pluses about CB was the diversity of worthwhile activites is what set it apart from all the C) choices. With that diversity slowly dying, it's a lot easier to pick a different addiction.

QBBast [Hidden Agenda] September 9 2005 6:14 PM EDT

CB1: It's so much quieter.

Zoglog[T] [big bucks] September 9 2005 7:25 PM EDT

CB!, less need to correct spelling mistakes, if I have one blame the alcohol ;P

sssimmo September 9 2005 8:53 PM EDT

Note to self: "Stop writing abusive posts after 7 hours on the sauce."

Thraklight Resonance September 9 2005 9:14 PM EDT

Battlefaeries.

/me runs and hides from Jonathan now. :-)

Blarg September 9 2005 9:39 PM EDT

I like them both, but CB1 more.

{CB1ate}aupStar September 9 2005 10:12 PM EDT

CB1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RedWolf September 9 2005 10:26 PM EDT

CB1 has a sort of different...feel to it, and it is where i was, well, in a sense, raised :-) But CB2 is where all my friends are and it's surprisingly where i learned the most. CB1 is great, but I vote CB2.

[CB1]Deadlight September 9 2005 10:55 PM EDT

I vote Cb1! It is where i grew up and was raised, i dislike cb2 cuz i am more of a tank fan, and hre mages cover more ground quickly than a tank could.

Bull3t F4c3 September 10 2005 2:58 AM EDT

cb1 because x28 elbows do 0 dmg

Undertow September 10 2005 3:23 AM EDT

"All video games that aren't online are stagnant or closed. But things like Megaman Anniversary came out and other games of the like."

Sorry, but I have to rip this to tiny little pieces.

First of all, almost all computer games can be patched. And are patched, all the time. Even ones you can't play online. Although the ones that get played online do have MORE patch support.

Even a console game having an expansion is not unheard of. The Armored Core series has expansion software. As in, games you buy that can't be played on there own, just like computer games.

And with every next next gen console being slated for online play, and all the new handholds being wifi capable, you can bet that the ability to add content after purchase is going to be huge next Gen.

So, not only is this wrong, but it's slowly becomming non-existent.
