TOE begging... Jon please look!!! (in General)

I know I am asking Jon for more work, but I was wonder is possible to display how much damage that a TOE can reduced per hit.

As example maybe something like this:

Player1’s Fireball hit Player2 [7000] (10000)

The number in the () is the damage would done if without TOE.

Good idea! It would be very cool to see that info.

(then again, if this were to be added in, why not go all the way and display how much damage would have been done if not for AC, Prot, etc?)

especially useful if you even post your TOE's level :P

and while we at it lets have what our max dmg will be with a weapon equiped and strength around.

It's a nice idea, but seems like it would be difficult to implement O.o

Difficult to implement? I imagine that the "weapon damage" would first be calculated, and then the reductions on the damage due to AC, Endurance and Protection would be calculated to get the "actual damage". I think that it would only require printing off another value as it's calculated - there wouldn't be much to implement at all.

but if you start putting things like that in people might be able to start figuring out what mathematical equations jon uses, which from what ive always seen is not something he wants...

I doubt jon would hand that info out. Just do some testing. It's around 9-15% of your tattoo level.

That would make battle logs look 10x more ugly than they already do wouldn't it? :S

battle logs? You mean play-by-play? lol

And if you know what you're looking at, they're not ugly.
