Does TOE aura effect stay on after the minions equipe with it die?

From the WIKI:
* Base AC 0.
* Reduces damage taken. Aura affects companions to one-third of the same degree. (similar to Protection)
* Aura remains until end of fight (even after tattoo wearer is killed)
* Cannot be equipped at same time as cloak, body armor, and power shield.
* Also referred to as a ToE.
