Eve Online (in Off-topic)

Has anyone here played 'Eve Online'? What do/don't you like about it?

I've got a buddy who wants me to start playing. He tried CB and didn't like it, so now I'm supposed to try EO and see if I like it.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I tried it for two weeks, and liked it very much. The galaxy is huge and you have so many different things you can do. So many ship classes, jobs, you name it, it's there. Good thing is that you can learn skills and abilities offline. Bad thing is that it sometimes takes 3,5 hours to fly to the place you bought something. Nevertheless, you can travel automatically so I did have a lot of fun. =D

I got to the point in the tutorial where it said:

"Now sit here and wait while your ship mines minerals from this asteroid!"

I tried signing up/downloading the game or w/e was needed, let's just say it didn't feel like installing.

I saw a report in TV about it some month ago, and it looked funny. But not funny enough to pay monthly for it.

i played the 14 day free trial, didnt like the fact that it was only 14 days long. also another bad part for those of you who have a life, its very addicting :-/
