Evasion UC Q:

Lets say i got a UC lvl (30)
I should be getting a 10 evasion when i go and fight.
but if i equip a weapon on my UC minion, does it negate my UC bonus? or do i still get it? :p thx

You'll still get it. UC overrides melee weapons.

My bad, other way around...Melee weapons override UC. I think you'd still get the bonus though.

Besides, you shouldn't even equip a weapon on a UC tank. =P

You mean your Evasion bonus? You'll probably still get it, but it's a bit... strange to do that when you could train Evasion and get more out of it.

I don't understand the point of what you're asking, Shiv. If you're going to use a weapon with UC just to get bonus Evasion, then you're going about it the totally wrong way considering you'd get more by training just Evasion.

i agree... UC with a weapon defeats the purpose of "unarmed combat"... Evasion is most certainly better, or mabey BL...

well i agree with you there brandon. going straight evasion would prob get me a higher evasion for the same exp spent. Though i have Gi and HGs, and even with a base Unarmed Combat: 62,428/50 (26), i get 1/3 of evasion from 26=8.6.

not much i know. though if all things aside, would i still get that evasion bonus?

was just reviewing the properties of Gi and noticed this tidbit Grants Evasion equal to one-third of pre-bonus UC. so... first of all 1. on a base UC i with the Gi and HG i wouldn't get any evasion bonus according to that "pre-bonus" statement. 2.my original Q still stands. ;p

And my statement still stands. I'm pretty sure you get the evasion bonus.

I have to agree with Brandon on this. Your minion won't use his UC to fight, but that doesn't
mean it acts like you never trained it. Therefor, the Evasion should still be in effect.

I think that with the UC yoru would still get the Evasion bonus, but if you have a weapon/bow you would take the dex penalty associated with it. So is it worth it to you?

um..there is no penalty. unless u or i is mistaken. ;p
