Ah breakfast.... (in Off-topic)

QBJohnnywas October 25 2005 5:24 AM EDT

Ok, tomorrow I have a day off work. So instead of logging onto the computer and CarnageBlending I'm going to buy the morning paper and go to my local cafe for breakfast. This is a bit of a treat because normally I'm on my way to work at 730am and there is no time for breakfast... :(

Egg, bacon, sausage, beans, maybe some black pudding, a couple of rounds of toast and a large mug of tea. More commonly known as a 'Full English' breakfast.

My favourite breakfast. Apart from left over cold pizza from the night before...

what's your favourite breakfast?

Vaynard [Fees Dirt Cheap] October 25 2005 5:29 AM EDT

Wow, that sounds so good. I love bacon, eggs, and pancakes. The more the better. Too bad I never get up early enough to go find some good breakfast, since my classes start after noon. Ah well. But yum.

cap'n crunch or whatever the sweet sweet female cares to make for me :)

Will [Retired] October 25 2005 5:58 AM EDT

Cold lasagna//pizza//food from the night before, chocolate and tea, or a butty (I don't go in for the breakfast-style food in the morning).

Oh but saying that, I made one of my ex-es scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on toast for us both once. That is a cracker.

Sausage (lorne - square), bacon, egg, beans, fried mushrooms, potato scone, fried bread and a lovely white soft morning roll. Sunday Times newspaper and a large glass of fresh orange juice. Can't beat it !

French toast and Orange juice.

simple but good. I also like pancakes and waffles every so often.

Ilovehellokitty October 25 2005 3:47 PM EDT

i want 2 hot eggs ! 1 long sausage ! 1 teaspoon of honey ! 1 hammer-jack ! 1 poked-buttery pancake.

Stephen October 25 2005 6:54 PM EDT

Mmmm, Black pudding. I recently found a butcher in Sydney who makes it, and it made my month. Delicious, but causes the same consternation to the non-English as haggis does to the non-Scottish.

QBJohnnywas October 25 2005 6:59 PM EDT

The amount of people I've known who love black pudding when they don't know what it is and then go pale when they find out.

Blarg October 25 2005 7:00 PM EDT

ham, cheese and bacon omlette, sausages, pancakes, crispy hash browns, bacon, toast, and... thats about it. :P.

RIPsalt3d October 25 2005 9:31 PM EDT

I've never seen a black pudding like that, Blarg.

Mountain Man October 25 2005 9:41 PM EDT

lumber-jack's breakfast: three eggs, easy, three sausages, bacon, slab of ham, baked beans, hash-browns, three pieces of toast. orange juice, and a pot of tea. or if not available a feta cheese omelette. good eating!

Special J October 25 2005 9:43 PM EDT

Whatever is on the lunch menu down the road.

Blarg October 25 2005 11:57 PM EDT

thats not black pudding, that would be my breakfast :P.

Lumpy Koala October 26 2005 2:44 AM EDT

hehe for me, I would go the good ole oriental way , Chinese way of course. Not sure if you guys know what is Dim Sum, but there are LOADS of variety of it. And of course a pot of chinese tea after that would be excellent.

sssimmo October 26 2005 2:47 AM EDT

Dim sum's for breakfast?? Bad idea NK. Those bad boys will repeat on you all day!

O_O Black pudding... That's a no no for me.

My English breakfast would be Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, Crispy Bacon, Toast, Mushrooms and Hash Browns. I used to like fried bread, but that sits heavy on me now. :(

I can't do cold pizza, always have to grill/MW that sucker. But leftover Chinese food is great! ;)

spydah October 30 2005 8:19 AM EST

That's funny, I'm on my way to work at 600AM and I eat breakfast everyday... I wonder how I can do this incredible thing?!?!

oh ya, set yer alarm a bit earlier :p

G, my sis has just told me an unusual Scottish item of food she's had.

Deep Fried Garlic Cauliflower! Ever had that?

She also mentioned softies from Gregs, but she's not been able to snag one yet, they are always sold out when she gets there!

Mikel [Bring it] October 31 2005 7:45 AM EST

5-8 pieces of Turkey Bacon, 2 over easy eggs, toast with Apple-Butter and a glass of milk.

Zoglog[T] [big bucks] October 31 2005 8:14 AM EST

I always have to have some good ol' fried pigs blood on my Full English :)
Along with Sausage, bacon, fried egg, hash browns and fried bread/toast depending on what my stomach feels like.
