Chat / Desktop update problem. (in Off-topic)

I have recently reinstalled everything on my computer, and updated everything. Nice job, i thought, but! := ..

I use both IE 6.0.2800 and Mozilla Firefox 1.0.7 and I have installed the Java 2 Platform - Standard Edition, Version 1.5.0 from Sun Microsystems.

I now have a "problem" .. It's more like an inconvenience, but still it's a pain in the ... well .. you get the point :) Whenever i receive a line of text in the CB chat my entire desktop updates, (it does this in both browsers) and apart from the nice flashing effect on my screen it's starting to annoy me. :) Does anyone else have this problem, and/or do you have any ideas for me as to how i can overcome this problem, apart from turning off chat, which is not the solution i'm looking for! ;)
