NCB - some more facts please? (in General)

Ok, my little saga of creating an NCB char for testing purposes and finding my BA costs triple kept me amused yesterday. Happy outcome with me transferring my new char to Jonathan, and my BA costs reverting to normal.

All well and good. However, it's raised some questions. My NCB character still exists - it's with Jon, in retirement. I'm guessing that it's continued existence is the reason I no longer have the ability to create a new NCB character. On the create page the tick box for enabling NCB is disabled.

But is this because the character still exists? Or is it because we only get one shot at NCB? Will the NCB be re-enabled for me if that char is deleted? Or will I have to wait for the 4 month NCB period to be over?

I think Jonathan stated in his usually cryptic way that you won't be able to create another character with the NCB until the NCB for the first one expires regardless of whether you retire or transfer the original character.

If that is the case then that would affect selling characters somewhat too. If you sold your NCB character you wouldn't be able to start a new one straight away. You'd have to wait until the bonus time expired...
