I recently heard that "nerd" is not in either, and as a nerd, I am quite insulted.

No nerd, but you can be an uber dork! LOL dork is in there too.

*sigh* Being a dork just isn't the same as being a nerd. It just doesn't have the same oomph, if you know what I mean.

There, "oomph" isn't in the spellchecker either... I guess it doesn't know what I mean. Who actually wants to be a dork?

I would consider "oomph" more of a spoken sound effect, so I can accept it not being recognized by the spell checker. :)
on a different note ":)" and ":D" and ":P" are all recognized by spell check, but not "XD", though "x)" is. I really like that "XD" one too... (laughing hard with your eyes closed)

: and ; and ) and ( aren't letters, so spell checker ignores them. X is a single letter, so spell checker ignores is. "xd" is not a word, so spell checker flags that. What's this topic about anyway?

no topic. this is "off-topic". read my first entry. I just thought it was funny. no vorpal, but uber is there. there are other words not in the spell check that probably should be. if you find one that should be there and think it is funny that it happens to be missing then feel free to post here.

You want to try being British with that spellchecker around? Here I am using the CORRECT spellings and the spellcheck says "WRONG!!!!"

I mean, it's spelled 'armour' not armor! Lol!
