Is your team only allowed to equip one tattoo at a time for all of your minions? I've tried to search the wiki and FAQ for info but I've found nothing that says this. Sorry if I'm retarded.

Yup, you can only equip one tattoo total for each character.

In FAQ: armor/tattoos- #3
Tattoos take up both a body armor and a cloak slot, and cannot be equipped on the same minion as a Power Shield. Only one tattoo may be equipped per character.

And you cannot equip a cloak or body armour on the minion wearing the tattoo
