We have a new comedy series starting in the UK, Wednesday 10th January called 'Hyperdrive'. It features the actor who played Mike in Spaced and looks like it might appeal to Red Dwarf and Hitchhikers fans:

Ok, it wasn't great and Red Dwarf did it first and probably better, but it's worth a watch. It was pretty funny for a first episode. A lot of potential if they improve....

Lasted 15 mins and got turned over so I could watch a re-run of Hart to Hart.
Hyperdrive is garbage and should be shot into hyperspace.

Ok, it was good but lacking a strong central character. Red Dwarf without Lister if you will.
The central idea isn't as strong as Red Dwarf either. But it was funny. The ships engineer is basically a typical IT guy, the first officer a psycopath, and the Captain is Mike from Spaced which is good enough for me.
