I finally got my internet back. but since I was gone so long from my home comp. I got rid of my java files. Now there are so many to download and I'm on dial-up again. I don't know which one to download. If someone could be specific and not just the latest version, but which one exactly that could help a lot. thanks
I believe 1.4.2 was espoused as the "right" version for cb chat...there was a recent thread concerning this actually lemme check...

The latest 1.5 is the right one. Can we please stop directing people to outdated versions, please?
The latest one makes my chatbox look wierd...the background color behind "Chat:" "PM:" and "PM to:" is white now, instead of the grey it used to be?
I was under the impression that the latest version has scrolling problems?

Only 1 early 1.5 version had that problem. All fixed in all versions after that one.

OK, so the Java 1.5 runtime environment is supposed to work now, but does anyone know if the Java 1.5 development kit works? I've been having trouble with JDK 1.4.2 lately, and I'm wondering if it's "safe" to upgrade...
