assitance needed (fightrewards/VPR tested) great info (in General)

Ok, the current wiki for fight rewards states:

Experience and Money bestowed on the winner (both parties in the case of a draw) of a battle.

Determined by Virtual Power Rating (VPR) and score of involved players. (Fighting someone with signifigantly less VPR will result in reduced Fight Rewards)

VPR defined:
Virtual Power Rating (VPR) is a combination of trained minion Experience as well as untrained. VPR is used when calculating Fight Rewards and clan Power Rating allowances.

When having trained ALL experience on your character, VPR = MPR

Can anyone shed a little more DEFFINITIVE light on these variables (score/VPR) as to which if either is the greater determening factor of fight rewards. As a new player, I am trying to maximize everything I do in the game which leads to a GREAT deal of questioning, and experimentation. Obviously a FULL understanding of the game engine and calculations destroys the neccessity to even play the game, but my feeling is that a general understanding of game mechanics is required by anyone serious about maximizing their own growth.

That being said I have done some preliminary experimentation regarding fight rewards. I put together a fightlist consisting of four players, (and two controls) and recorded the cash rewards received after 10 fights. (again with the random number calculation involved in fight rewards 10 fights is not enough data to provide deffinitive resulsts but it is a start). I also provided the 2 fight average (formula can be found at this site: http://www.carnageblender.com/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg.tcl?msg_id=001Gfa

the results are listed below in the following format:

Player:(Score/PR/MPR)
*description if any required
fight1reward, fight2reward, fight3reward........, fight10reward
(2 fight formula average) 10 fight average

My stats at time of experimentation: (969,711/536,498/390,535)

1: (1,092,892/487,340/389,232)
*higher score, lower PR than my own

As you can see from my personal results the players with a higher score, and LOWER PR netted me the greatest average rewards (based on the 2 fight avg. system)

Additionaly if you line up all the chars. from my results highest score to lowest (player 3 is out of position in the above chart) the average fight rewards also descend in value. Even though player three has 300k more PR than players 5 & 6 (almost double player 6).

All of these results are assuming that the 2 fight average is relatively accurate and still valid. But if it is the results shown above very strongly show (in my opinion) that VPR is almost a non-factor in the calculation of fight rewards and that it is based almost entirely on score.

If someone would be willing to volunteer their services to further this experiment I have two suggestions to help prove/disprove my theory:

Number one is for a VERY high score tank/nonmage (with a very high PR/MPR ratio) to volunteer to disarm all weapons, armor, tattoos etc. at a prearranged time with me, and allow me to beat them for 10 rounds and see if the average fight rewards are significantly higher due to the score only. (I will attempt to contact some possible candidates myself and inform them of this forum to see if they will volunteer, but if you feel you fit the description please get in touch with me!) Basically we would be looking for the highest score player that I can beat when stripped of all weaps/armor etc.....

Secondly, I am going to contact the players I used in this test to see if they would be willing to do the same thing (strip all PR boosting items) and get a before and after average and see how much of a change there is. I will fight them again 10 times with all items equiped to restablish a baseline as any major change in their own score or my own will drastically change the results.

Third, if anyone else can find good examples in their fightlists to support or disprove my findings please feel free to post your results.... If you do post examples, please keep your tests as accurate as possibe (keep all your fights in as short a period of time as is possible to avoid drastic changes in your own or your opponents Score/PR. Train exp frequently during testing to avoid VPR increases that could skew results. And please post results in the same format I have used above)

Player: (score/PR/MPR)
*notes or comments
10 individual rewards
(2fight average) 10 fight average

So now is your chance to flame away!!!! Let me know if you see anything in these results that is grossly mistaken or exxaerated.

P.S. all testing requiring removal of equipment could be broken up into 2-3 minute blocks to avoid a weapon cool down period .

Excellent info

As far as I'm aware fight rewards are based on your own PR and your opponents score. Your own score and your opponents PR don't come into the calculation as far as I know. So when fighting to maximise rewards, fight opponents with the highest scores (don't worry about their PR).

Your rewards also increase as your MPR/PR/VPR increase (one of those three, I'm not sure which one).

So in conclusion:
1) At a given PR your fight rewards increase the higher your opponents score is.

2) At a given Score/Opponent PR ratio, your rewards increase as your MPR/PR/VPR increases.

I have noticed that even when an opponent has a score in the right range for my PR, if his PR is significantly lower than mine then my rewards are quite bad.

As far as I know Jon stated that your PR and opponents score are the most important factors in determining rewards. I believe their PR and your own score also have some effect. Check out AvoidCXT's posts for some rewards analysis.
