An "Interesting" suggestion (in General)

Well here is my idea. A ECB (Existing Character Bonus) for players who have been here since the beginning and have to much invested to start over with a NCB and never had a NUB. Some guide lines are
1- Never having a NUB or NCB (no running a NCB then getting this bonus as well)
2- BA costs and rewards would be that of a NCB
3- A shortened span (2 months instead of 4)

So, once everyone has a bonus, what is the point of a bonus?

Bast, the point is to cause inflation, boost us to CB1 sized characters in 1/4 the time, bring about regret to those that waste their bonus, and to bring USD to those that don't.

Oh. Well, okay then. That clears that up.

We are already past the average CB1 character size in 1/4 of the time, we'll be past the max CB character within the next year so this game is inflated enough as it is.

the strip the bonus.it will slow the inflation and by regulating the usd influence will bring it in line.

Its a "interesting" idea edyit just not very realistic. If you give the existing players bonuses y not just limit the NUB to 2 months and forget about the bonus now? Sorry I just dont think it makes much sense. Though it would stop the higher levels from complaining every second of their lives about NUB...

You know, "existing characters" already have a bonus - they don't have to pay the extremely high costs to buy BA!

I have a request. Can "interesting" be removed from the subject of this post?

Maybe Jon should remove "interesting" from the spell checker. Though I doubt it would have an effect. Still it would be interesting to see people complain about how including the word interesting makes there not so interesting posts not postable. :P

I, too, am beginning to find the word "interesting" to be less... intriguing.

i have no comment on the actual idea,but do ideas ever get through i know its fun to talk but has any idea ever got through to jon so he can change it?

No and yes. Jon likes to take our ideas and give it a unique spin. When we asked for a way to split xp unevenly among our minions, Jon gave us the RoE. When we all asked for a NCB, we got it, but not in the way anybody else had imagined. I for example I drew up a detailed NCB months ago which was very different.

Think of the whole process as a corrupted wishing system. You get what you asked for if a) most people want it and b) its not an utterly stupid idea, but you won't get it in the way you thought you would.

Extra reward times was one suggestion that was implemented. There have been a few others...

ok thanks for that, its just that for the 5 months i have been here i seen many ideas, and Jon has not responded to them so thats why.

Allow me to reiterate the faultiness of this suggestion. The point of a NUB and an NCB is to give a chance for players to get near (and apparently over) the top player. Having an ECB would completely contradict the original purpose of NUB/NCB.

Case closed.

How about a bonus to Characters that have the letters 'dut' in their name. It should have no more than one letter before and two letters after.

...well - if you don't ask you don't get.
