PR, weapons and weapon allowance (in General)

UltimaSpock [Forge Frog Services] March 23 2006 4:44 AM EST

Hi!

i have lowered one of my weapon (excalibur worth 7,5 m by anglachel worth 2,5 m) and my pr does not changed

ok i have read everything on weapon allowance, and this is normal up to a certain total NW

but do not you think weapon allowance threshold is too high?

i have fought a little bit since that, and i have more difficulties to win sometimes, while my pr did not change at all...

Weapons do not lower PR. If they are over your NW allowance then they raise it.

chelon March 23 2006 5:10 AM EST

with 600k mpr i think your weapon allowance is lot higher than 7.5 mil. So lower your weapon NW wont change your pr, try rent some weapon that have over 10mil NW your pr shouldnt change at all. Do you have a really big tattoo one that close to your max tattoo?

UltimaSpock [Forge Frog Services] March 23 2006 5:51 AM EST

both of you are right, my weapon allowance is too high, and thus my pr did not change

but the problem lies in the we allowance: i have more difficulties to win (i get stalemates now against a few) while my pr did not change at all

so the we allowance is defective, because it does not reflect the power of your weapons

and my tattoo is average (hald my max tat)

If you do not use your full weapon allowance, you're wasting character 'power'. To fight at full potential, every team needs to use their full WA. Even Mages.

AdminNightStrike March 23 2006 10:52 PM EST

Why would you put a weapon on a mage? Isn't that a waste of money?

I think he means to "use full potential" to the illogical extreme. As in loading a CoC mage with a ranged weapon even if they can't hit anything. In a way it makes sense if you think of 'potential' in a certain way, but a melee weapon on a mage is still useless no matter how you add it up. Most of the time it's better to exceed your allowance on your tank and take a PR hit then it is to max out a WA on a mage.

I think his point was that at the top, everyone has the WA maxed, even teams using mostly mages...but does chappy?

sorry might be a bit off-topic

i thought i read before that WA was calculated like this.

55-60 around there X your MPR

thats probably wrong calculations but it was somewhere along that line.

anyone fill me in, i dont think i was seeing things

What I was trying to get at, is that if any team doesn't use their full WA (even a single Mage team), they are not fighting at thier full potential for their PR, and are 'weaker' than other teams of the same PR (who do use their full WA).

At the moment, CB2 has no way for a single FB/MM Mage to actually use thier WA in any meaningful way, so they will always be 'weaker' than other teams of the same PR.
