There won't be any new replies to FS/WTB posts, can only be activated when placing a reply, only the author can post a reply, the author would know if he posted one without the need of a email? ;)

You are confusing new replies with new threads.
When you post a thread it gives the option to notify you of new replies, there will no longer be new replies to FS/WTB is the point he is making.

The creator of the thread can still post updates/closures.
So a person could still watch a post to see if any updates/changes/closures get made.
Ahhhh, good point Timber, thanks

I see as well ;)
Honestly I forgot about the link at the top of a thread to turn this option on, I thought the only way was via posting/subscribing to an area.
This thread is closed to new posts.
However, you are welcome to reference it
