Thinking about quiting? (in Off-topic)

Sir Leon [Soup Ream] March 28 2006 8:17 PM EST

I am curious to see who is leaving or even thinking about it. I would like for those people to post here. I am interested in knowing what is going on in the community. Seeing that Ranger is quiting i will be the first to follow him.

So who is considering to quit?

Ill start by saying that i am selling out and may or may not return to chat. i am still undecided on that.

BlueWolf March 28 2006 8:17 PM EST

i am definately

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] March 28 2006 8:19 PM EST

NO, this is like the worst day in carnageblender history.

th00p March 28 2006 8:20 PM EST

"it is the beginning of the end of cb2 and the Jonocracy"
Yep, and if Freed buys the whole thing, I am out for sure.

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] March 28 2006 8:22 PM EST

the apocalypse is coming.

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] March 28 2006 8:24 PM EST

nice now see what you made me do I changed my name.

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] March 28 2006 8:25 PM EST

darn I think I might have spelled it wrong. Leave it to me to spell it wrong.

drudge March 28 2006 8:36 PM EST

i guess if you can't take the heat ya'll need to get up out the kitchen! (except fireforge, i dunno why he's buggin, he needs to stay)

...I'll still be here tho when you return to help you get back on your feet!

ScY March 28 2006 8:39 PM EST

well, i hope that ranger sees what is going on in his name, and at a time like this....i just hope that jon doesnt just kill CB...that would be bad, thsi whole mess needs to be forgotten

yes, admins are admins, but the rules should be a bit more laxed, especially in forums, give me a break, who really cares about a "bump" post?? i mean really

it is not like anyone died, so shuttup

and yes, admins are getting a bit numerous, and are overreacting a bit.......the rules should be abit more lax

if jon kills CB, i will hunt him down

that should not be done by any means

the community is what keeps this game going, take that away, and you haev a fighting/strat game.......really, if that is what it comes down to, we should all leave, buy a game for 30$$$ with graphics and some type of internet play, like warcraft III or something like it.

DONT OVERREACT

-yes ranger is leaving.
-yes this will hurt CB
-if you kill the community, you kill the life of CB
-if everyone quites because of admin problems, then jon should be the only admin, and be in CB chat more
-and jon, realize what is happening, your work is getting screwed....do something about it
-at least 4 everyday players are quitting, ranger counts as 100 people, and just in 10 minutes of chat 10 people said that they will quite chat!!! <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
-LOOK AT WHAT IS HAPPENING JON

and if this doesnt mean anything to you, regardless of who you are, jon or not, then you are stupid.

this game is great and it would be sad to see it die

i love CB as it is right now, and it is changing. change could be good or bad. it is time to decide wether changemonth is going to be a change for the good ro bad of CB!

faedarklight March 28 2006 8:40 PM EST

The game will die because one guy leaves? And maybe his friends? Hmm I'm not leaving I like it here...

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] March 28 2006 8:42 PM EST

that was a really nice thought through speach scytale} (did I spell my name wrong)

RedWolf March 28 2006 8:44 PM EST

Your name is spelled correctly, kefeck.

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] March 28 2006 8:45 PM EST

I will be keeping this name till things get back to normal.

A Lesser AR of 15 [Red Permanent Assurance] March 28 2006 9:02 PM EST

dude stop spamming

Doom Lit Sky March 28 2006 9:27 PM EST

Watching Ranger leave will in-fact be hard for a lot of people. Ranger is one of my few friends in this game, and in my humble opinion, he deserved his reign at the top. He was always willing to help, always a decent guy, and he put a lot of effort into the community and this game.

That being said, It really does suck to see him go. I think people should just accept the fact that people grow out of games. It happens. Will he be missed? Naturally. Will him leaving kill this game. I highly doubt it.

So instead of dwelling on the negative, wish him good luck, health, and give him a warm farewell. Don't make him feel guilty for leaving.

-DLS

P.S. As for the current admin problems and chaos that is the forums, I doubt Ranger is quitting due to this. He has stated he does not enjoy this game anymore. He didn't state: "I'm sick of Jon and these admins, so I'm quitting." It just happens that everything is kind of happening at once.

When it rains it pours.

:D :D

Carnage Blender, more drama then a cbs show!

Special J March 28 2006 10:05 PM EST

scytale you have less of a clue than anyone else who has ever posted on these boards before.

{CB1}Lukeyman March 28 2006 10:13 PM EST

"apocalypse, 8:45 PM EST
I will be keeping this name till things get back to normal."

You know, you can only change your name every 30 days.

Sir Leon [Soup Ream] March 28 2006 10:14 PM EST

could we please stay on topic.

could someone clean this up a lil bit?

QBsutekh137 March 29 2006 12:14 AM EST

I have thought long and hard about it, and yes, I will start quilting. I'm quite cold.

Oh, "quiting".

Wait, what is "quiting"? I want some!

Oh, "quitting"... No, no. I need something to do while I am quilting.

Vaynard [Fees Dirt Cheap] March 29 2006 12:46 AM EST

I was seriously considering a few weeks ago leaving because of time constraints, and this latest change is definitely giving new thought to the idea.

AdminQBVerifex March 29 2006 1:46 AM EST

I haven't quit yet, do I get like a prize if I do? cuz I really want a prize, no, seriously, what is the prize? I want prize!

Blarg March 29 2006 1:53 AM EST

Read my post in "The end of Carnage Blender?" for my "phasing out" not really quitting i guess, just stopping the little impact i made, and making it available for anyone who wants it.

Vaynard [Fees Dirt Cheap] March 29 2006 1:55 AM EST

Surprising. Even after ALL of the argument and "whining" over fines for being off-topic of the thread's intent, and then the nerfing of FS/WTB, guess what? People are still cluttering posts with lame attempts at humor and making fun of those that are seriously disappointed with how the change effects the game.

It sounds like Sir Leon is seriously leaving, and several others including myself are considering it. And this is a joke to you other guys. Yes, this situation has sure been fixed alright.

Angel of Death [Hell Blenders] March 29 2006 8:13 AM EST

i wont ever quit cb2, i wont even quit if im the last person on cb2

QBsutekh137 March 29 2006 9:49 AM EST

Lame attempts! I take grievous offense! My off-topic, sarcastic, condescending posts are always of the highest humorous content!

Gilgamesh2090 [NCB Shop] March 29 2006 11:03 AM EST

well, you were a good mentor Leon. Back then I asked you some pretty basic questions like any noob would. Thanks for the help. Good luck in RL.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] March 29 2006 11:53 AM EST

"Lame attempts! I take grievous offense! My off-topic, sarcastic, condescending posts are always of the highest humorous content!"

They make me roffle! ;)

Stop looking at me like that Bast, roffle, not a real word? :P

NSFY March 29 2006 11:57 AM EST

I liked the quilting comment. I found myself wondering what kinds of patterns and colors Sutekh would use in his quilt. I also wondered if he would have a quilting party or go at it alone. Quilts are much better than afghans too. Some of the holes on those afghans are too big - your toes get stuck in them and toenails snag and all the warmth gets out and I think many are made from SYNTHETICS !?!?!?

I often think about quitting but then I think about staying and this has resulted in the perfect state of yin and yang that I now occupy.

QBJohnnywas March 29 2006 3:22 PM EST

Quilting. Mmm. Maybe we can all make some sections of quilt and later join it all together. I had some quilt parties with some rather nice medical students I used to know. Cocktails of fruit juice and rubbing alcohol and gigantic quilts.

Mmm. Cup of tea. check. cigarettes. check. sense of humour intact. check.

Times like this a sense of humour will get you through most things.

Keep smiling ;)

Sir Leon [Soup Ream] March 29 2006 3:40 PM EST

Thanks guys for staying on topic. i dunno how you managed not to be fined thus far, but whatever. I guess this is just another thing that makes me want to leave.

QBsutekh137 March 29 2006 3:45 PM EST

Leon, it's an "off-topic" post. As far as I know, there is no requirement to stay "on-topic".

Sir Leon [Soup Ream] March 29 2006 3:47 PM EST

it wasnt originally an off topic post. Just becuase its off topic doesnt mean you can be off topic of the post. This thread is only in the off topic section becuase it is off topic of the game. Not so people can post here whatever they want.

AdminG Beee March 29 2006 3:50 PM EST

There's only one thing that needs fined here.

C'mon, lets all see if we can "fined" Leon another sense of humour :)

Chill out man, we're all too young to die of CB induced heart attacks.

QBBarzooMonkey March 29 2006 3:50 PM EST

/me sheds big ol' tears because everyone is being sooooo mean.

You big meanies.

Or is it Blue Meanies?

Sir Leon [Soup Ream] March 29 2006 4:01 PM EST

i'll be out of here in a little bit anyway.

Such a great community after all.

NSFY March 29 2006 4:56 PM EST

Just for the record, my post had on topic stuff oozing out the yin yang.

QBJohnnywas March 30 2006 8:46 AM EST

Leon, Vaynard, and anybody else who found the outbreak of laughter around CB these past twenty four hours offensive or insulting:

the ability to maintain a sense of humour even at the darkest times is, in my opinion, one of the best qualities any person can have. And the fact that the run of laughter and joking spread amongst a large number of players is proof that there is still a healthy community here. It doesn't mean we don't take things seriously. It just means we don't take things too seriously. There are far more important things in life to get serious about. If you want CB to be fun again it's mine and your responsibility to make it so.

So smile! ;)

IndependenZ March 30 2006 8:55 AM EST

Well said, Johnny.

Zoglog[T] [big bucks] March 30 2006 11:31 AM EST

Children: Sir, where is Ranger going?
Mr Jon: Ranger is dropping out because he can't take the heat anymore children.
Some children: Oh no! This place wont be fun anymore, I'm following him!
Other children: Idiots!
Mr Jon: Oh well, they were illegal immigrants anyway.

Zog's take on CB's current affairs.

Somebody April 7 2006 7:51 AM EDT

i think we should realise, that there are also new players every day, so it't not that big problem that some of the stronger players leave, i think many more people leave without noticing, beacause they are not as strong as ranger is.

i don't know but im not worrying yet

Kelelle Son of Jor-El April 7 2006 11:45 PM EDT

must say I am a little sorry to see such great players go... but on the other hand it just opens up a spot for me to sneak in. Best of to all players!!!!

Maelstrom April 7 2006 11:54 PM EDT

Please... I thought we had let this thread die peacefully. Don't wake it back up...

BootyGod April 11 2006 5:43 PM EDT

Sir_Leon I decided not to address anyone but you. I do not frankly care too much (didn't really look at names) of everyone else who is thinking of quitting. I DID see Vaynard's comment about not taking this seriously so maybe I can throw that in.

Okay first of all I HAVE considered quitting. But, and this IS shocking, I decided to stay for everyone else. I like this game but not enough to really stay here and watch my friends get depressed and quit. I stayed because I somehow hoped to make someone else stay.

The fact is I have realized I can't use words or laughter or anything to make you all stay. It is up to you (DUH). But I still will try to make you stay because I do not want you to leave this game for any reason. So I ask you all to do a favor for the game. Not me... the game.

Stay. Help the new players along. Change the game by making it a better place. You say the game is messed up or whatever so stay and try to change it. Welcome the new players in. Make the game more fun for everyone by staying and adding you $5 worth. All of you have so much to contribute and to deny it to the community is a harsh and unfair blow.

Stay because you enjoy the game. Stay if you EVER enjoyed the game. It is still the same, just is a little dirty now. But if we all abandon the broken car, it won't go anywhere again will it?

Okay VERY dramallama of me but I just can't shake that darn mammal off....

BootyGod April 11 2006 5:44 PM EDT

oops I JUST now read Mael's last post rofl. Guess I SHOULD read all the thread before posting. Oh well maybe it will help.
