PL question. (in General)

Just curious about this, but - if the damage inflicted towards a minion is big enough to destroy it, but another minion has a PL capable of absorbing all of it, does it get it all, or does the minion that was to be hit originally die or what?

Seems like you could have a 20HP minion with max CoC or something on it, and a PL/HP guy behind. Just wondered how that would work. If anyone knows, let me know!

Either way, the point is not whether or not the minion is damageable, but rather if it matters if the damage recieved is greater than the HP of the minion that *should* be recieving it.

But yes, you are right, AMF would kill a minion like that.

From what I saw from other threads where Ranger talked about PL on TAB, it looks like the damage is fully absorbed, and the original minion who was being hit lives if the PL dude absorbs the total damage.

PL is definitely going to mess with a number of old strategies. It's already eliminated the full effectiveness of special arrows/bolts, and Ax/ExBow unless you're able to kill the PL minion in the first set of shots.

Even though it would hurt my new team, I would suspect a new weapon/spell that ignores, or does extra damage, to a PL minion to be coming soon.

I read Jon stated that he changed it so if the damage would destroy a minion, PL does NOT take effect. Hope that answers your question :)

If I remember correctly... Jonathan changed it so if the PL minion would absorb max damage, and the minion it was trying to protect would die anyway, the PL doesn't go off. For example, your 20hp tank [hereby known as A] and, for the sake of this explanation, the other minion with a PL of 100 (200) [hereby known as B].

A gets whacked for 180, but since B can absorb all of that, A sticks around another round. That time, he gets hit for 240. B would absorb 200, as that wouldn't save A... A dies and B doesn't absorb anything.

-My question is this: In the first melee round Selenia dies and she has the highest PL so nobody would absorb the damage, but when Noise shoots off his magic missle it hits Urza without Korona absorbing any of the damage. Is that supposed to be happening?

Only the first (or highest) PL minion is active. When the first one dies, the next one won't start drawing damage until the next round.
