FB mage or EEEM? (in General)

Unappreciated Misnomer April 13 2006 5:22 PM EDT

currently have a FB mage, i ahve enough equipment for a EEEM team, but am unsure of a good strategy to put in place for such a team. starting with a ToE and AS, but from there....

1st choice.

4 minion CoC based team, EEWM

RoS/AS/DM - GA/AMF - HP/PL/STR+TSA/MgS - nothing but CoC and token prot.

Single minion teams have to hire minions up top, and it costs way too much.
I suggest saving up 4 or 5 mil and buying a char

I didn't realize you bought AoD's beast...

if hiring minions is out of the question (which it is in my case), I would suggest just keep training FB until everyone dies..

FB if you stay single. CoC if you go multi-minion.

If you go multi minion you could try AS/AMF enchanter at the front, then two mage shield walls, then ToE CoC mage at the back, perhaps with PL trained on the enchanter. As much AC on the walls as you can. I did this particular strat (minus the PL, it wasn't around then), it's pretty good. But you really need a big ToE and lots and lots of HP.

I'd stay single personally. Going multi-minion with a mage team will really slow down your MPR growth. And cost massive amounts. Personally I don't think it's worth getting extra minions unless you can get the more expensive option.

Novice's 'Single minion teams have to hire minions up top, and it costs way too much.

I agree with this actually. Four minions grown from the ground up are going to be more equal in size, so your enchanters/walls/meatshields or whatever you're going to do with the other three minions are going to be a lot bigger than they would be if you buy them at a later date. The only problem is that your damage dealer won't be as big as the one you have now. But overall a team grown as a four minion team will be more effective. If you add three minions to your one big minion you won't be adding much in the way of MPR and therefore power for quite some time.

GA is the solution to a weak damage dealer, it kills more damage dealing minions before the fight even really begins, and with the slew of FB / ToE teams riding the wave, you'll be set for opponents

I think we've given you a lot to work with for a 4 minion eeem, I can only add you should find a way to put WA to use, rent a weapon and get a mini tank.

smallpau1 - Go Blues [Lower My Fees] April 15 2006 4:38 PM EDT

you should go WEME(decay on this one), just to be safe from MM users.

im sorry but W A and W E M E,
E for enchanters
M for Mage
but W and A, im out of the loop guys fill me in please,

1-ToA/As
2-PL/AMF
3-Decay
4-CoC or MM

Unappreciated Misnomer April 15 2006 9:24 PM EDT

ToE not ToA

Unappreciated Misnomer April 15 2006 9:28 PM EDT

maybe even an RoS?

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] April 16 2006 2:34 AM EDT

decay is a nice choice for the back minion now with MM as it is. RoS would be great if you add GA and make some use out of all that HP. W == wall

db, I think novice meant Weapon Allowance by WA. :)
